Match Spurs vs Brighton, Sat 8 April, 3pm

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

We seriously lack player like Marsh, Mitoma, Trossard etc. Players with the ability absolutely clown defenders 1v1.

Kulu is the closest thing we have to that.
Problem with our fan base is, they’d be up in arms if we signed those players. Many on here didn’t want Trossard.

The coaching is the problem. Newcastle, Brighton, Villa don’t have a better squad than us, they’re just coached better.

You're not wrong. Bryan Gil fits that mould and many fans were writing him off before he finally got given a slight chance and impressed.

Think that's probably the quietest I've been at a game! Two gorgeous goals but not much else to get excited about, IMO. The time we waste passing it around the back is really frustrating.
I'd be thoroughly hacked off if I was a BHA supporter, but for once VAR came out in our favour, so suck it up.
Thought we definitely upped our energy levels with the substitutions, so well done Ryan, don't know if Stellini would have made that call.
Finished the afternoon with king prawns and noodles, which is becoming my highlight of my visit to the area these days.
Re: the subs...didn't you (and those around you ) think they should have been made loads earlier, given how our "plan" was clearly not working? I was howling on my family WhatsApp chat for changes to be made 15 minutes before, given how pedestrian we looked.

In fact, I'm almost wondering if we won regardless of those subs, it's not like we changed our shape or plan at al,l I I sort of think it's just that we got lucky.

Also, what was the feeling you got from those around you? Miserable grumpiness ( that was the go-to emotion whenever I was in the West Stand)? Anger???

Muat admit, I loved hearing the Pochettino, he's magic" song sung loud and proud

Just watched MOTD someone at VAR bet everything they had on spurs to win I'm sure of it.

Although I'm happy they fucked up. That is absolutely appalling yet again from VAR.

Just caught up on MoTD. Two really nice goals.

Clearly we were jammy and I can still see us wobbling over Bournemouth next time. However good 3 points and the Chelsea result made this feel particularly sweet today. For all our own collective hand-wringing, imagine having Chelsea´s approach to spending and recruitment, as opposed to ENIC, yet they’re still six places behind us.

It’s just very, very funny.

Chris Sutton on BT Sport (I paraphrase, but this is the gist): "I don't thinkEnglish football is corrupt. But if you wanted to show a match to use as evidence of corrupt one-sided decisions, that would be it."

And before people dump on Sutton, he's been saying how disappointed he is in the type of football Spurs have been playing this season, given the calibre of players at the manager's disposal.
He forgot to mention they could use ALL Spurs games as evidence!

Thick cunt!

Hurts like fuck to say it, especially given how we used to wet ourselves laughing at him, but you have to give credit to Lego Boy.

It's incredible what he's done with a roughly similar squad to ours. The self-belief and mental strength he's instilled in them. We would give a kidney for that right now.

I feel violently ill having just typed that.

Jesus wept.

All I've seen from him in the last or 7 games is that he struggles to stay on his feet as much as Dav does
Exactly, he's the closest we have to a Mitoma but even he's a bit of a clunker. He does have some great dribbling but this season it ends in nothing.

I don't know if we're just used to subs being even later that the introduction of the subs was generally greeted with enthusiasm.
I'm in the East stand right next to the premium seats, so those to the right of me are usually tourists. The rest were more worried than moaning. A couple of guys behind me were very loud when singing 'Levy out'. I joined in when we started singing for Poch.
The general mood felt quite subdued rather than angry, turning to anxious as the game went on. If we had lost, and most people felt we were lucky to win, the mood might have turned nasty.

Our shit attack has everything to do with shit CMs.

Can’t maintain possession. Can’t play a pressure relieving pass. Can’t really defend.

It’s an utter mess and shame intern managers do nothing about it.
Well our hands are tied aren't they, with Bissouma and Bentancur out?

Sure we could play a midfield two with either Sarr-Skipp or Sarr-Hoijbjerg, other than that we could play a midfield three with Skipp-Sarr-Hoijbjerg.

When our injured are back i would play a back-4 and a three man midfield with:

Bissouma-Skipp
Bentancur
