A Lehane penalty to make it 3-2.

Not the result I was hoping for - will mean ?Fulham overtake us in their final game of season, although we have a game left to play away against WBA on Saturday.

I was unavoidably diverted by work, so couldn't monitor what was going on , but Fulham seemed to be really up for it having 20 shots, 10 on target versus Spurs 8 shots with 6 on target etc. Not sure if Football Chap Football Chap can add anything more ?

Either way if we win our last match we can get to 5th place, not as high as I'd hoped a few weeks ago. On the other hand the majority of the side this season has been first year academy or u17's often playing sides with players a year older, so in that context where we are placed in the table is not bad - and next season we will have the core of a fairly experienced side playing less experienced sides.

Why is that do you think ?

Is that coaching/organisation flaws ?

Or do you think we are changing back 4 too often and the players do not have time to gell into a cohesive unit able to anticipate and rely upon the other defenders being in right place ? etc

I think we have an inherent weakness in midfield... physically, tactically and technically. If that defence had adequate protection we'd be ok.

Preparing for next years u18's by Thompson being given a rare start for u18's, Day (who is an u15 now) who next year will be an u16 who I think will play up a year for u18's being given a debut, Myrtaj who is a first year but was injured for much of first half or more of season getting a start, and bench for Tingey, Agyekum and Muslika all of whom u16's likely to be first year Academy players next season.

Archer and Lehane on bench, likely to be playing u21's next season (not seen an announcement of another contract for Lehane yet though)
