This thread is to keep an update on how Spurs squad develops over the transfer window

The Key Message - At the start of the Window, Spurs need to sell at least four players to create one space to make a new signing as we have 20 Overseas trained trained players in the squad (per UEFA rules), with only 17 allowed. This does not include players loaned out in 2023/24

So the likely leavers :

Hojbjerg, Lo Celso, Gil, Solomon (all Overseas trained players in last season's squad) and sell players loaned out last season - Rodon, Spence, Reguilon

and that's before we look at upgrading a few players in some positions.

So that could mean trying to shift about a dozen players to get maybe 6 players in - a lot of work to be done before window closes !

JULY 2:
Edit: Rodon gone and Gray official.

Here is a full list of all 32 players currently included in the 1st team squad + the 2 over age players from the U21s, Parrott and Robson. Makes a total of 34.

With HG the big question is will Ange keep Skipp and promote Parrott?

Let's assume they both are included as CT along with Whiteman and Austin to give us our full CT quota for UEFA games.

Robson will likely be kept as an over age player in the U21s or potentially as the 4th CT man if Whiteman leaves.

Of our association players and transferred U21s you would think that Spence will not be included in the squad and are highly likely to sold. Davies could well leave as well.
Loans likely for Phillips and Vuskovic and probably Veliz although I think not a full season loan for him.

NHG:

Royal, Reguillon and Gil will definitely leave and GLC and Hojbjerg are highly likely to also go. Potentially Solomon or even Bissouma?

If 5 left that would leave us with 14 NHG for EPL and 17 for UEFA so in theory we could register all our NHG U21s Bergvall, Vuskovic and Veliz. Of course Vuskovic highly likely to be loaned.

In the EPL none of our U21s need be included in the squad of 25.

Makes sense to bring back Edwards or KWP as this would help both CT & HG

Spurs have a lot of very good forward players in u21's, so not sure it helps to bring back Edwards.

KWP makes more sense as we are light in full back positions, but with Archie Gray very likely joining (who can cover RB), part of the rationale goes away, although for EL Gray will count as an 'association trained' player for first 2 seasons, List B/u21 in 3rd season and club trained after that. But with Southampton back in PL the player may need to be persuaded ?

Players 24 or under:

Porro
Dragusin
Van De Ven
Udogie
Sarr
Gray
Bergvall
Johnson
Kulusevski

Many more in and around the set up as well like Vuskovic, Phillips, Hall, Moore, Veliz etc.

We have plenty of talent now with high ceilings of growth. Neto, Calafiori and Eze next Daniel ta very much.

Unbelievable recruitment over the last few years tbh.
