It just wouldn't be Spurs if we didn't leave 1 position with a gaping hole each season :bae:
I guess AVB is okay to make do with Verts and Naughton on the left, if Rose is out.

Well, the Russian window is still open, right? Anyway, I'm happy for him to stay because we need different options in attack. Soldado/Defoe too similar.
So we can play either a winger, a central defender or a right backIt just wouldn't be Spurs if we didn't leave 1 position with a gaping hole each season :bae:

to be fair you are right, he is something different to what we've got and on his day he's decent. I just have an irrational hatred for the bloke.Well, the Russian window is still open, right? Anyway, I'm happy for him to stay because we need different options in attack. Soldado/Defoe too similar.
He doesn't make it easy to like him, does he?to be fair you are right, he is something different to what we've got and on his day he's decent. I just have an irrational hatred for the bloke.

Seriously people, stop thinking Fryers is ready for first team football...AVB likes his "total football."
We have Rose as a LB who can play LM if necessary. Chiriches, Vertonghen and Fryers who can play CB/LB as well.
BAE didn't fit that style imo

Call me crazy for being skeptical...It appears that AVB thinks he is. He let BAE go in the final hours of the deadline and didn't bring in another LB. If BAE had gone weeks ago, i would say there is a chance AVB thought he could get a LB and wasn't able to. Choosing to let BAE go in the final hours, says to me that Fryers is ready to be second choice.
No way they would loan him to us if the reason they wouldn't sell us Mata is because we are tittle contenders.
He may well not be ready to be a regular but we have a large pool of capable LBs, and rotation is key to AVB's game. Fryers is capable enough to play in the odd game imoSeriously people, stop thinking Fryers is ready for first team football...
For that matter, stop thinking Chiriches is ready until we've blooded him in some of the games of our pathetic EL group.
