Imo, we are a couple of years too late in signing Llorente, but ...
I'm all up for signing him as one of our backup strikers. He really is built for this league. Plus, he's known to be a decent influence for youngsters, in the dressing room and behind the scenes. If we are getting rid of Ade and Soldado, replacing them with another wise, old head won't be such a bad idea.

That being said, we NEED pace up top. It's absolulty imperative that we still sign a winger or another speedy striker who can play on the wings!

Looks like another agent. Careful what you say about him, he might never share Spurs rumors again...

Even if he doesn't get right back to his peak, his attributes will be beneficial and give us more variety in attack.

Late in games where we are struggling to break down a sitting side we can use Llorente. Getting balls into him (aerial or on the deck) as Lamela/Eriksen/Chadli run off him.

Trippier is also a very good crosser of the ball, combined with Llorente's presence it'll give us another string to our bow.

Don't get the negativity with this signing. He'll be behind Kane, but would be a great foil if we want to play 2 up top and as a bench option provides us with something we haven't had since Crouchy.

And who knows? He could re-find his Bilbao form and we have 2 genuinely dangerous strikers.

I'm in.

Mitrovic ? Fuck no ... they want 17 million € for him. Cant run, cant dribble, cant win a header etc outside of the box

In the box he's a pure killer.

A major thundercunt with attitude issues galore

How much would Llorente likely cost?

How much would Mitrovic likely cost?

Would Kane / Mitrovic / Llorente be a solid front line for the season?

I know nothing of Mitrovic other than his stats which are very impressive.. and Llorente from a few years back when he was a great player.

Just expanding on this, at the moment he;

- lives in a fuckoff house in Hadley Wood
- trains at one of the best training facilities in the world
- is seemingly allowed to piss off on holiday whenever he likes
- gets paid very well

And we're expecting him to go to Turkey?.......Like next door to very Bomby Syria and perhaps soon to be in Putin's pocket Greece

nah, no thanks
I thought he lived by Hampstead Heath? Maybe he's moved.

Regarding someone's question about what parts of Belgium our quartet are from, I'm reasonably sure Chadli's from the French part. Think it was mentioned or at least inferred on his thread around the time his dad died.

I haven't seen enough of him, since he joined Juve to judge one way or another, whether he's lost it.

Personally, I'm sceptical because of our style of play. Just as is the case with Benteke, who's clearly a (potential) monster of a striker. I'm just not sure, they will be with us. Having said that, I have more confidence in the people actually deciding who we sign (and how they play) than I can remember having at any previous time. So if we sign a tall striker, I'll be happy enough given my trust that Poch has a plan to play in a way that'll bring their strengths into focus.....

People don't re-find form after 30 though. He's on the downward slope physically.

Not an impossible third-choice, but no one who really is an agent talks business on twitter if they're competent. I'd wait and see if someone else picks this up as well.

he is indeed but his dutch is quite good because he left for Holland quite early in his career, the other three are all from the same area and have known each other since their childhood
