My blood boils every time the name Zaha is being mentioned on this board.

We have spent the last 24 months offloading mediocre players yet we're looking to bring one in our probably the most important season in PL history.
 
Chadli had his flaws but he was a good squad player. He has end product and the ability to change a game off the bench. I am struggling to see many options currently in our squad that can do that in an attacking sense? Son (hopefully) but that is it. Onomah seems to have the ability but as of yet he hasn't really made an impact.

Long story short, we better have a few lined up here in the next few days. I have a strong suspicion we may regret letting Chadli go

Players aren't always available - some times they don't become available until late in the window. We wouldn't have signed Van der Vaart in June.

We need players of quality to compete and if that means holding onto the likes of Chadli before we do so then lets do that.

At present we seem likely to lose Chadli and Mason who did contribute last season at a time when the demands were lesser and where were not off the back of a Euro Championship and so far got 2 in.

It is NOT ENOUGH because Pochettino is not Gandalf.

And frankly if we miss out because of Levy's shenanigans again that will too much to stomach.

Indeed, I'm fine with letting some of these players go, but we better replace them soon, because only using youth players like Onomah and Winks isn't going to cut it imo. I'm hopeful we'll get 2 or 3 players in though, even Poch didn't really seem to rate his options from the bench these first three matches. The likes of Onomah and Winks only arrived on the pitch at the very end.

Onomah is a fucken balloon. No idea why he is still around

Hope you are right about the signings. I have liked what I have seen from Winks. I think him as a like for like replacement for Mason is fine he looks ready to make the step up. Onomah does not appear ready at all. When you see what Chadli has provided for us off the bench and in limited starts, I think we will not replace that with what we currently have. I would also argue I would prefer Chadli to Zaha. Hoping something else is in the works

Some teams want to buy replacements - before they'll sell. If you want a player, you have to do it in the order of the person with the most leverage.

There's 2 weeks until the next match, and the window hasn't closed yet, so stop flapping.

P.S . Pochettino might be Gandalf...
