The story should be coming soon. The conditions are very much the same as they were in the last summer window, similar when we signed Son. That signing came out of nowhere.
Also, Bayer are playing in a 4-3-3, so they don't really need an attacking midfielder.
I think this one is realistic to happen.
Southampton fans boo Poch every game since he left, they can't stand him. We paid out a massive comp fee when Poch came over. So where/why is the tension? What did we do to cause such hostility, what snide move did we pull off? Sorry to bang on mate but what tension, what have Southampton said about nasty old Spurs? To be fair, I think we need to separate Poch from the club. Everyone seems to love Poch, whether it is fellow coaches, players, or even supporters of other clubs. I don't see Levy in the picture, and ultimately that is where all of the tension lives.

And yet, like with all the players they happily sold to Liverpool, I bet they'll be perfectly levelheaded when they play Everton.Southampton fans boo Poch every game since he left, they can't stand him. But what have Southampton said? I don't recall a single thing, not a dickie bird, not a single word. We have dealt with them, they sold us Wanyamma, hardly the behaviour of a club that harbours tension?? I go back to the first point, what the papers say ain't always accurate. Nasty Spurs sells more papers, end of. I will concede if you show me one sentence of proof. And I will not accept "no he is not for sale" as proof.Bang away, I think you are getting caught up on certain terms. As for the tension between the clubs, I think there is enough activity and lack of activity between the clubs that points to the fact that regardless of mutual respect, there is some tension. Poch comes to us at a critical time for their club, they got Koeman and all was well, but losing Poch at that time was tough. Then we are linked with Lovren, Rodriguez, and Schniederlin. Meanwhile Southhampton let's 1/2 their squad leave, but draws the line on Schneiderlin and essentially holds him prisoner for two windows. Then there is the Toby situation from last summer as described earlier. I just don't think we are their preferred club to do business with at the current time (and I get business is business). I'm not even getting into the Bale situation and any bitterness they may have going back that far, or the fact that our chairman is likely the worst to deal with in the league. I'm not claiming we did anything to them, or that any animosity from them is deserved, but I do think our relationship is not what I would term friendly.
That the fans though. I get and understand how their fans feel. There fans hate us, which I find quite funny. I just haven't heard a single word, not one from Southampton the Club. Maybe the two are being confused here???I recall a lot of bitterness regarding Dean Richards & Hoddle some years back. Then they went into the doldrums where every man & his dog had a go at their squad (with few complaints cos they were fucking skint). They suddenly think they're big time off the back of being a successful feeder club again for a few years.
Rule seems to be that when a bigger club comes knocking, & turns the head, you lose ultimately. Hold out for the biggest fee, negotiate the best terms & make the best of a bad job. Or do a Peace & watch your prized asset run down his contract & fuck off for nothing. Either way, appears to be a lot of posturing, which, does keep everyone interested & talking.
Absolutely. The fans hate us () & the club want to show the fans how conscious they are of their feelings, so they pretend to drive a hard bargain. But business is business & they have sold us Toby & Victor in consecutive seasons at very reasonable prices. We will do business with them again, & they will continue to publicly say what a hard bargain they drive. Incidentally, this is kind of true when you look at what they've managed to squeeze from the bin dippers. Evens out the bargains we've had from them. That the fans though. Toby was from Atletico Madrid, Soughampton had him on loan from them.Absolutely. "Kane wears 10. Maradona wore 10. Coincidence?"Jut imagine.
Out there right now is probably some Napoli fan who is coming up with a reason why this can actually happen.
Poor guy
I didn't say you didn't know mate, I was responding to Bolton's postI know he was on loan but Southampton claimed they had first right to sign. It was well publicized last summer.
