I guess I'm one of the few that really rates Sissoko on his day. He's a mammoth unit, pacey and can carry the ball past players with ease. He's one of the few MF's in the world that can do what Demebele does for us.
His issues with motivation and effort at Newcastle are well known, but when he was tuned in (either for Newcastle - especially against big teams on TV - or for France) he was immense. If Poch could consistently tap that out of him, he'd be one of the best CM's in Europe.

Tbf it's at the point where I don't really care about the fee. £30 million is the new 15 and Sissoko would be a good addition to the squad.

Can't get excited by £30m for Sissoko. Decent Euro for sure, but when even the Geordie fans (deluded bunch of fanatics) say he's lazy, then you've got to wonder. He didn't shine in a relegated team. Why not just go the whole hog & pay a decent fee for Isco?
In no way can you claim N'Koudou is better than Chadli at this point, may well prove to be true but currently that is clutching.

I agree... it seems like different news outlets are picking up different parts of the story at different times.
I think Sissoko has the potential to be a great signing for us if Poch can get him playing near his best more consistently. I also wonder if it paves the way for Son's rumoured move to Wolfsburg?
A tiny part of me still thinks Real want Sissoko and we are helping set a more realistic strike price for them before they loan us Isco.
