30 million feels like we've been mugged but then the way some other transfers have gone who knows....fees have gone silly and makes our other purchases look well thought out.
Not someone I want but I can only assume Poch feels he is worth it and he can improve him and make him a better player.
 
Surely we wouldn't have matched it unless Poch is really pushing for him? Levy wouldn't just throw £30m at a championship player for the sake of it... Would he?

I must be in the minority but I think MS has potential - a good rival for Dembeles spot but shit the bed, £30m seems absurd...
 
As an American, this signing reminds me of when everyone freaked out over some of the NBA contracts that were passed out this summer. The inflation of the market has brought out a lot of big numbers we aren't used to seeing. I do think we overpaid to an extent but I'd rather pony up in this situation than not. I see Poch getting the best out of Sissoko. It's the type of player skill-wise he loves.
 
Spurs have thrown all logic out of the window. Guys like isco cost 45m for a permanent deal. Gundogan and mkhitaryan cost between 20-30m. Yet here we are paying over that for a 27 year old who actively goes for woolwich and has little work ethic. I don't understand.
