We still lack though a proper wide forward in the scare the shit out the opposition sense. Son and Dele are kind of mercurial players who drift in and get shots off but we lack a Hazard or Sanchez, who when the ball reaches their feet attract 2-3 defenders creating space for others to operate in.

I don't know how we solve that, Edwards is suppose to be that guy but his situation is odd. It's the only area I see where our rivals have a big advantage over us and if we solved it would allow us to improve instantly.

Every bloody player who might do that like Bernardo Silva or Bernardeschi we have no chance with cos of money.
Either Dele grows into being that guy, or he doesn't. If he does, we have a hard time keeping hold of him as Real Madrid will want him. If he doesn't, then we won't have that level of wide player. Just how it is. We have two guys who are CL-level. We don't have two guys who are in the top-5 in that position on the planet. That's the difference.

Bernardo Silva for £45,000,000 is going to prove to be bargain. Ran us ragged at Wembley the cunt.

Gylfi consistently produces in the final third, he's a lot more effective than Lamela. Even in Lamela's best season for us, his performances were erratic and inconsistent
Is consistent based on anything other than your opinion? Lamela creates a lot more chances in the final third than Gylfi does, and almost everything Siggurdson does is set-piece based. In open play, he's Sissoko-level.

New to the game, but not message boards, so I know why there are arguments, strawmen and name-calling, but why don't we get 3 points when the ball is kicked over the goal? Don't they know how hard that is?

Kidding. Not new to the game, played keeper for about 20 years before my body couldn't take the beating anymore.

I'd like to see us sign 2-3 reasonably priced transfers for some depth. I don't expect, nor do I think we need, a big name signing. I trust Pochettino to develop the squad, and I'm really hoping for some hardware this year.

Did your stats tell you that? Do you ever watch football
More than you, it would appear, as you seem to think a couple of minutes glancing at a player and then relying on memory is some kind of serious argument.

Lamela creates more in the final third than Gylfi (2.7 chances per 90, vs 2.2), and does it all from open-play, unlike Siggurdson. Your eye-test claim of inconsistency doesn't change the fact that he actually does more stuff. It's like trying to argue that your eye test says that Diego Costa is a better striker than Harry Kane because Kane looks clumsy and isn't as clinical. Regardless of the eye-test, Kane actually got more shit done. It's the same with Lamela and Gylfi. Even with a busted hip, Coco is the superior attacking player.

You know what's annoying?

As soon as this transfer window ends some cunt is going to open the January transfer window thread instantly. Fucking annoying.

This thread was started in February. Let that sink in.

If it makes you feel better, the Everton forum have a 340 page thread on their £40m bid for Siggy. That's 340 pages, in less than two weeks, about one rumour.
