From the end of February Trippier started more games than Walker including said games v. Chelsea, United and Woolwich. Hence, he took over the 1st choice RB role.

I think he was sold because Levy saw the chance to cash in on a player who had probably reached his peak. And with a good player in Trippier as back up, Poch was happy to go along. But surely we all agree Walker is the better player.

Poch doesn't have "first choice" players - we know that.

Secondly, Poch has been quoted as saying he'd have used Davies and Trips more last season if they didn't have injuries or, in trips case, exhaustion (new daddy syndrome).

Walker peaked last season, but clearly wasn't in the plans by the end of March. He's gone, and no fucks seem to have been given by anyone at the club. Poch has all but said he wanted him gone, and he likes Trips and seems to trust him. I for one would love to see Trips in the #2 shirt too, as I think he's a cracking player, but no one can predict the future and we'll have to wait and see what happens.
