You said it was widely reported stamina problems & I asked you for evidence first.
By your logic dembele isn't first choice as dier started ahead of him & was starting CM for our last game.
Obviously that shows how flawed your logic is.

But you expected me to believe your assertion that they'd had a falling out without any evidence?

That's very funny, and no I don't think Dembele is necessarily first choice. I think Poch uses him cleverly. As CJJ CJJ mentions, 'first choice' is a myth - even you admit that our mythical 1st eleven only stated 2 games last season.

I think he was sold because Levy saw the chance to cash in on a player who had probably reached his peak. And with a good player in Trippier as back up, Poch was happy to go along. But surely we all agree Walker is the better player.
Walker definitely the better player, but I genuinely think Poch wanted him gone. I have a hard time seeing how you can argue that Levy decides who stays and who doesn't

It was reported by various outlets and he was all of a sudden dropped

Yes. But as I just said. Because the decision to cash in on Walker had already been made. Not because Trippier is the better player or offered more to the team.

How do you know that? It's just your opinion. Pochettino sees the players up close in training. There's all sorts of data available and I suspect that Walker was losing his pace. When this was pointed out to him maybe he had a sulk - I don't know, but nor do you.

No you're not, you changed your stance

He's obviously not gonna want to piss off Poch . So I'm assuming (hoping) he assured him that the Walker funds could be reinvested in the squad. With an adequate back up in Tripps, Poch was probably happy to go along

Have we ever had a more creepy sanctimonious individual on this forum. Not since I've been a member. Fair play, you've earned the right.
You'd know all about sanctimony...

Yes I know. But he doesn't engage. He just rants and raves, works himself up into frenzied state, and exaggerates the posts he disagrees with just to get approval of other members. I was only thinking about his own well being when I suggested he use the ignore function. That's all. I was trying to help.
My response to you calling you out for being sanctimonious even got 7 likes. Maybe it is you projecting. As other members of this forum agree with it. Food for thought?

Interesting that I call you it and a day later you call me it. Original.

Jose speaks some sense for once: José Mourinho: Tottenham will be major rivals for Premier League title

"Everybody speaks about the dimension of the investment at Man City [so far just below £220m] but there is another team that I feel the dimension of their investment is also phenomenal – Tottenham. Until now they spent zero pounds, right? They keep everybody they want to keep. They keep Dele Alli, [Harry] Kane and [Toby] Alderweireld, they keep Eric Dier, they keep everyone they want to keep.

“They sold Kyle Walker I think because they wanted to sell. And probably because they think Trippier is as good as Walker. And he’s younger than Walker..."

The dimension of their investment is phenomenal

I don't expect you to believe anything. I was just giving my opinion.
You said it was stamina related & then they didn't fall out. So its impossible to debate unless you stick to 1. & now your saying first choice is a myth.

Personally, I think they fell out & that's why he got rid of walker. Not because he thought Trippier is better. But it's up to others how they view it. Lets leave it at that.

Ok.

Pochettino decides on who's staying - not Levy. Poch would be gone tomorrow if that wasn't the case.
I agree Poch would have the final say. Hope so at least. But as I said earlier, if he was promised the funds from Walker to invest elsewhere in the squad he probably thought it worthwhile with tripps as back up. That's probably why he wanted to take a good look at him at the end of the season to see how he performed in the big games
