I knew he wrote Keane's first book, but I didn't know he was a professional footballer himself. I'm ashamed by this, but feel a bit better now it's off my chest.
He played for Millwall. He wrote a chapter that was included in an award winning sports compilation book. The selected piece was about youth players who don't make it. He exposed the cruelty and the utter bleakness of it all.

Saturday nights in hell.

I think he is Spurs actually. I'm sure that he at least knows we didn't play Chelsea in last season's FA cup final. And our last semi final wasn't donkeys years ago. But hey, who are we to decide who is and who isn't a worthy Spurs fan, eh.
John, you get a lot of stick. But I think you're a great poster because I know all of your opinions are based in a deep love of the club. But that The Dane guy is a piece of shit. And he's a troll. There is no way he is Spurs. None.

The Premier League has been awarded a High Court order for the forthcoming 2017-18 season, which will help it combat the illegal streaming of games.

The blocking order will require UK Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to prevent people from illegally accessing streams of its matches.

"This blocking order is a game-changer in our efforts to tackle the supply and use of illicit streams of our content," said Premier League Director of Legal Services, Kevin Plumb.

"It will allow us to quickly and effectively block and disrupt the illegal broadcast of Premier League football via any means, including so called 'pre-loaded Kodi boxes'.

Anyone think we should be after Renato Sanches? Seems a perfect player for poch to develop, not overly expensive in the current market. They're talking 35m. Massive potential
I think he would be a good signing, but central midfield is one of the few positions where we don't really need anyone. Dembele, Wanyama, Dier, Winks, Onomah along with Dele and Eriksen who can both play deeper if need is enough.

Guardiola allegedly but in quotes talks of looking at buying Mbappe from Monaco.

I mean is this bloke for real. 200 million already spent, more to come and yet he would look at this youngster as well.

He is right up there already as the manager I least respect. A manager who seems completely comfortable wirh the accusation of buying success because in my mind that is exactly what he is doing.

As I said previously on this thread, any City academy player should move on while that waster is in town.

Why is a manager of a club in debt to a Russian to the tune of some £2bn commenting on how a club with £0 debt should spend its money?

Not sure why anyone is worried by that fake freak.....if he thought our ambitions were questionable, why question them?

Might as well talk about Stoke if he's not concerned by us

We should let sammyspurs sammyspurs answer this, what are totnum's expectations?
Our expectations are to move into a new home in the next 18 months and develope an academy of talent that have an emotional attachment to the club.

We are building the foundations of an institution that will hopefully bring some success and longevity back to the club.

Some people think our entire project hangs on winning silverware next season. That's a fallacy.

It's not about keeping Dele Alli if we don't win the title.

It's about the future of THFC for the next 100 years.

You might not get that, or care, but the thing is Levy's actions are not built around your demands or the concerns of Antonio Conte, so you will both have to accept that we are doing things our way.

Conte, Mourinho, the press are all worried we are going to win it without spending a penny.

It would make a mockery of their careers as coaches and ruin the transfer window for the press forever.

A bit dramatic but it would be very interesting.

We do however have expectations and hopefully a means of doing things which balances good scouting, strong trust in players alongside a coaching regime that develops not just them but also the collective ability. Of course there will be occasions when players must also be bought but maybe a bit more prudently.

Invariably money buys success but maybe it is also how that money is spent.

We will need to add 3/4 players however much it costs or where they come from to have the necessary depth in quality we lacked last season to sustain challenges on all fronts. Incumbents must be pushed to greater heights.

But there are no guarantees. What are all these Monaco lads going to look like when they actually have to turn it on for a full season and aren't playing complete fucking dross of lower Ligue 1. This automatic assumption that they have strengthened doesn't stick. They've thrown money at the problem so it SHOULD stick but again, it's no guarantee, their CBs are a problem, they now have completely new players either side AND in front of them and they're meant to gel in time to mount a challenge?

By that logic, throwing £100m at a problem, including buying a 20+ striker in his prime from Spain should mean goals and success right? right?

:soldadowatch::vdvcry:

Let's just see who ends up where, because unless they take the league and finally stop being a joke in CL their spending is a joke, not strength.
City had problems with old not good enough players at RB and LB positions, they addressed the problem by getting rid and buying the best with what money can buy. Is that a problem? There is no guarantee in anything in life let alone football but they have done the best to deal with the issue because money is not problem for them.
What will happen during the course of the season is totally different issue. Last season we bought Wanyama, Janssen and Sissoko, only Wanyama was good, 33.33% signing success, was that good?
We don't have to be deluded, yes we have been lucky we have excellent manage and team and we need to go forward.
