Weird how people can listen to the same thing and yet get a totally different vibe from the words said. He was clearly laughing when he said the pressure was on Daniel (how many managers use their chairman's first name?).

They know what they're doing, as the non-melts have been saying for weeks.

Poch: "We need players that believe in themselves &, if they are offensive, believe they can challenge Dele, Harry & Christian for a place."

Not so subtle jab at Morata there.
I think this highlights the challenge. He wants good players, but he wants good players who have the humility and mental strength to fight for a place, not land with entitlement.... can't imagine there are too many that fit that bill.

If Chelsea wanted Barkley they cold wrap it up in hours, they don't need to worry about price and the club want to sell.

He's still at Everton because we are the only one's who want him. I reckon a 25mil deal will be done in the next 1-2 weeks.

The talksport site only says this:

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has promised supporters the club WILL strengthen the squad with 'three or four' new signings before the end of the transfer window.

Spurs are the ONLY club in the Premier League yet to spend any money this summer.

Some have questioned the club’s ambitions having so far failed to add to the side which finished runners-up in the Premier League last term, while their title rivals have all strengthened.

However, Pochettino insists the club are 'working hard' on new signings and has vowed to bring fresh faces to White Hart Lane.

Speaking to talkSPORT at a Premier League launch event on Wednesday, the Spurs boss said: “For sure we’re going to spend.

“We’re going to strengthen our squad and sign some players who can help us fight - we need new energy in the team.

“I’m sure that will happen and we’ll add some players before the end of the transfer window.

“We are working hard to deliver that and ensure that by the end we add a few players - maybe three or four, we'll see.

"We are so close to making it happen.”
