Obviously Lo Celso and Sess are very good signings, but if we lose Eriksen in the next few weeks, which is still a real possibility, can people really say we've had a good window?

It's not about incomings vs outgoings in the confines of a window. The question is broader than that.

How is the club defining success, is it operating in a fashion capable of achieving that definition, and is that definition and the likelihood of achieving it operable within the commercial structure it is trying to set up?

- If Eriksen leaves, Lo Celso is his replacement - Makes us weaker
- Ndombele has replaced Mousa - No real difference
- We've sold Trippier and replaced him with no one - Makes us weaker
- Sessengnon comes in which adds some squad depth - Makes us slightly better

I'm sorry to put a damper on things but it does need to be said I feel. There is still the distinct possibility we end this window in a weaker position than we started, which would just be totally unacceptable.

The only dampener you're putting on it young Tom is through demonstrating the fact that we have people who appear to support Tottenham that know fuck all about football.

- Ndombele has replaced Mousa - No real difference

I think Ndomble is a better player than Mousa. He might not be as good a dribbler (Let's be honest, almost no one is) but he can play passes and through balls that Mousa wouldn't dream about, as well as chipping in with goals. 8 assists for a 22 year old from CM is very good, Dembele never got that many.

Add on to that he's younger and has far more potential.

Trippier was replaced by KWP/Foyth by the looks of it. I always find it a bit funny that you have people saying "Give the kids a chance, Poch knows what he's doing, BUY A REPLACEMENT!". Trippier was not very impressive last season and shouldn't be seen as a huge loss.

The Eriksen one is fair enough, but I would prefer we cash in and make do until January when we replace personally.

I Have been trying to tell people you cannot replace eriksen with anybody so that is irrelevant
moussa has been struggling last year and a half so a younger version is an improvement
trippier i understand that point
i agree with your last point

1) The style of the team will change significantly. Losing Eriksen hurts, but it looks like we are trying to advance the ball through the midfield as opposed to the flanks, which Lo Celso excels at.
2) Saying there is no real difference between Ndombele to Dembele is nuts.
3) Trippier was shit but now he’s great since he’s gone. Again, it looks like we are moving from relying on our fullbacks to progress the ball to the forwards and now trusting the midfield to do it. Foyth/KWP are probably comparable from a defensive standpoint.
4) Sessegnon gives us tactical flexibility but I’m not sure when he plays unless Davies/Rose gets injured or we play at the back - so ya pretty much depth until Rose is sold.

Even if we sell Eriksen (likely) the squad is assuredly stronger than it was at the start of the window.

I’m on nobodies side here but if you really believe this statement do you think publicly berating him would help?

I've seen him lose his marbles over the course of years. People have tried helping him, giving him advice and he never changes, only gets worse. There have been times in the "Off topic" section where people bring up their mental health troubles and people are always happy to help, but you can only help someone who actually wants it.

So the window has closed....wait, it actually hasn’t, there is still a chance to “sell” players as nearly all relevant windows are still open......

As much as our new additions are welcome, TN, RS, GLC and future prospect JC, the first on this list being the most important by far, the rest are an unknown bag yet, we still have the realistic possibility that TA, CE & DR may still part ways, Saturday will go a long way to seeing what’s what with those 3.....if they stay, we have had a fairly good window, with not all our new purchases having to make an instant impact, except Ndombele, who must hit the ground running.
If any of the said 3 mentioned do leave then we have sold ourselves short....again!

The squad may not be immediately stronger after this window, but the important thing is we are preparing for the future by signing three young promising players with their best years ahead.

Ndombele is much better than Dembele was by the time he left
