Levy knows he’s on a tightrope with the fans (outlay by fans v outlay by club), he also knows, or at least he should know that he’s on thin fucking ice with Pochettino. So this might be his last summer to keep both onboard, and the only way to do that is to invest, and invest accordingly in line with the market and no messing about with 5 mill here or 5 mill there, just get it done.......

I for one, have always backed Levy, I get what he’s done, and I get how he’s done it, or more importantly I know how he has had to do it.
But it’s now done, the fans have been patient, they have understood, but as we know only too well, football has a short memory, and all that has went beforehand will count for nothing if Levy doesn’t finish the job, and his window to finish the job is getting smaller and smaller by the day.

C’non Levy, don’t let your legacy end with a whimper, dig deep and show us all that this project was worth the wait!!
 
Where is this Bentaleb rumour came from? I googled his name, and the last news about him is around Feb where he said he would like to be in Spurs.

I said it before, he will be a very good signing for us. Especially if he came cheap. Club trained HG i supposed? Very animated character and add a depth in our squad. Adds dimension to our play cause he is not a limited defensive player.
But i supposed it all depends on the situation with Dier and Wanyama.
 
Not letting myself get excited about this. I don’t believe it, I just don’t. Way too good to be true, I’ve learnt my lesson many times over the years so im gonna sit tight until I see an official announcement haha

Please Levy, make me a happy man

I love Winks, and want him as an integral part of the team, but Tielemans offers more of a goal threat as well.

We need the depth. City can rest De Bruyne, David Silva and Fernandinho and bring in Gundogan, Bernardo and Foden. Liverpool have Fabinho, Keita, Wijnaldum, Henderson, Milner, Chamberlain.

Last year it was a massive problem for us, seems like we are learning from that.

Aurier is reckless though and costs us countless cards and set pieces around the box.
I disagree about KWP and would like to see him at least tried at RB this first half of the season.
Rose had to grow into being a LB and looked just about as skinny and uncertain as KWP early on as I recall.
Can always sell him at xmas and get in a new 2nd RB if needed.
Would be a club-trained coup too if he came good.

Well yeah in an ideal world we would sell trippier and aurier buy a top right back and KWP would develop to a very decent top 4 player. But it’s not my ideal world we live in.

Agreed 100%, that why these ideal XIs, tho fun, miss the point. We were dead on our feet end of the season, can't let that happen again
 
Honestly not signing a right back is almost as bad as not signing a midfielder last summer. Absolutely should be done. What fucked us these last two seasons is the full backs being meh. Walker and rose bombing the flanks was the best I ever saw Tottenham play.
