But, when he's gone, we'll still be here. Maybe I'm slightly too much on the prudent side, but I've seen enough big teams almost go under due to poor financial management.
Under Levy that wont happen. But be realistic, at this moment we can't go toe to toe with City or Chelsea or any of the financial cheaters.
So this rush to spend mega money IMO is risky not just by virtue of the fact the players we're linked with are relatively unproven but also by the lessons of recent history.
There's a spectrum of course; we absolutely need to strengthen the squad. But again being realistic, we have to sell those surplus to requirements and we have to balance the home grown quota.
It's so far away from being as simple as 'back the current manager or else'.

I was overjoyed at our CL run, but Christ it was lucky. A pretty dire group performance followed by a VAR save and a last second winner only filled me with hope to what we could be with a few additions.

Nothing changed, a wish list is a wish list, not a list of demands I expect the club to adhere to.
An ideal window plucked from imagination and a realistic window where we have to deal with skyrocketing valuations, agents playing games, rival teams bidding, change of hearts etc are two very different things.
My ideal window would see 4, maybe 5 in but I'm also very realistic about the difference that exists from writing out an ideal list on a forum to the reality of running a football club and what must go on behind the scenes that makes things far more complicated than me plucking names out of the air on a fan forum mate.
I'd like fresh blood of course but I don't understand why there is a feeling of desperation about it. I'm a huge advocate for either signing the right player or no player at all.
It's a fans forum not a boardroom, we're all allowed to have a little Dream Team fun.
