Transfers Summer 2019 transfer thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I agree with you but am not sure Levy sees it that way, the stadium to both him and ENIC is about more than football, it's an entertainment venue, hence why he has arranged numerous events outside of football to take place already (and I imagine more will be coming in the future) so financially it will make money regardless, he also knows that for the first few seasons alone, people will fill the place just so they can see it and witness it all.

I do agree with you though and I think if Levy doesn't take advantage it will backfire on both him and ENIC.
An ST holder and Levy sceptic (he's 68, before anyone calls him a plastic and tells him to support that lot down the road) reckoned we took 800 grand in the ground at the first game. At first he claimed it was pre-match but the assembled questioned that and he agreed it might have been for the whole day

According to this article, Poch is going nowhere regardless of transfer activity (so that's a good thing and the main thing I was worried about) but it also mentions that Poch has essentially accepted the fact we cannot compete in financial terms with Pool or City.

Not sure how much of this piece is guesswork or inside knowledge but essentially it is saying that Poch knows overall we are regressing in the league and in general, despite our champions league run and that we need reinforcements to sustain what success we do have (qualifying for the CL.)
because he knows the respective revenues

but this piece is a Journalist just filling columns and looking for clicks - I read it earlier and could tell it was really an opinion piece IMO.
