Transfers Summer 2019 transfer thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Judging by the odds, I think there's been movement on the Clarke deal and an agreement reached. Think he'll be announced next week. I think he'll be a brilliant signing and be challenging the likes of Sancho for an England place within a couple of years.

Wrong, it is not TFC transfer thread. It is TFC FORUM transfer thread.

FORUM means: medium where ideas and views on a particular issue can be exchanged
Thanks for telling me what a word means. Really genuinely appreciate that.

And if you can find any ideas on here, you’ve a keener eye than I do.

Aware I’m only adding to the problem now.

Think a lot of people are confused by this thread.

This is the transfer thread.

Argue about Levy in the ENIC thread.

Personal squabbles should be in the Toilet thread.

I admit I am struggling to find the one tweet a day from Tanguy in amongst all the beefs.

We should maybe have an ITK thread that we can all pay money into to keep going? Sure that’s not done elsewhere.

It’s the middle of June. 99% of clubs haven’t done any business yet. Or they might have, and it just hasn’t been made public. If it’s one week before the transfer window shuts and we still haven’t done anything that’s when I will be miffed, not now.

It’s pretty obvious to everyone we are going to be bringing in some new players. Personally I hope we keep what we have already (barring Jansen etc) because strength in depth and competition for places are two things lacking this year.

It’s been a great year. Best in my 30 years. The last 8 years or so have mostly been a pleasure. Onwards and upwards.

Never seen him play, but a young English Champo player at £10m sounds good to me if it sounds good to Poch. There’s always another Dele to be unearthed.

Can you show anyone that said it did? Surely, I did not. But it was already misconstrued so it may again in the future. I again take notice that you haven't take the opportunity to publically, knowingly condemn the statements that you didn't "knowingly condone" previously.

Your interjection implies as much. Otherwise, wdf?

So if you suggest a cavalry was necessary for your mistreatment surely then you understand how out-of-line such statements are. I can't imagine a more perfect opportunity to condemn CG and his specific words here. Can you?

I'm not. Just highlighting double standards.

Contrary to any suggestions of cabals and group think, I was simply focussed on the footy-derived part of a discussion i was already part of..... If you think i should instead focus on the cunt-off element, i shall politely dissagree.

It can be if done right though. Liverpool have holes in their team, they spend big to get the very best players to fix those holes and they are far better. City no need to say anything.

Modern football requires two main things to be successful generally, a plan (top manager and board with a clear vision) and a lot of money to get the players capable of carrying out the plan.

City and Liverpool have both, we have a plan but not the money until now perhaps, United have the money but no plan. It’s not always instant but spend £100 mil net a season for a few years with a top manager and your chances of success will increase significantly.

Liverpool have spent over a billion since 2010 and won one trophy and finished top 4 three times.
300M of it across 2018.

Would you be happy with this model between now and 2028 for us to finally win something?

Feel like Trippier would rack up the assists at Juve. Less defensive responsibility and a slower game will give him more time to deliver his crosses

My interjection implies nothing other than being amazed that you haven't taken the opportunity to rebuke your fellow esteemed poster CG. Still, and conspicuous in it's absence, a chance to knowingly condemn truly despicable language and treatment goes begging.

Perhaps it is not a 'double standard' as you say and folks just see you and a few others as accepting of this behavior. And since you will not knowingly condemn it it stands to reason that you may not have a problem with it as not "knowingly condoning" =/= knowingly condemning it. And if that's the case then suggestions of a cabal or group-think are not far off.

Liverpool done really well In that they strengthened where they most needed to, but they were also lucky in that The players they brought came in and performed and made the difference, the thing that worries me is what happens if we do back poch and he spends £150 million on Ndombele and le celsco and they don’t instantly impress, surely if levy back poch with that kind of money then he needs to start winning things, top 4 suddenly becomes the bare minimum , we are at a cross roads now with the club, and with the amount of money we could be spending on new players we can’t afford for any expensive flops!
Selling Coutinho for £140m was the smartest thing Liverpool did since Klopp came on. Wouldn’t have been able to invest in the squad the past two seasons without that cash.

I kind of think and hope we can do something similar with Eriksen, albeit at a lower sale price (£70-80m).

The same 9-10 posters disagreeing with me, all the same ones who refuse to be critical of Levy and his transfer policy because they think it makes them bad supporters or "gooners" to do so...

You disagreeing with every post I make because I have somehow hurt your feelings.

It's ironic you call my posts idiotic and yet in your last 3 posts you have threatened me with violence like the big child that you are, called me a gooner because you're apparently incapable of accepting that people have differing opinions and said you are going to "run me off the forum" why? Because I have upset you talking about how I am worried we won't sign a player?

The amount you go on about people being gooners it wouldn't surprise me if you're a troll, you certainly behave like one on here towards other posters.

As a matter of fact you're going on ignore.
Actually I strongly agree with most of your opinions. I think the most important thing is to spend and build on a very talented but exhausted team with a weak bench. This is solely down to Levy. It's sink or swim time. We just made it to the top four with a poor draw against Everton and we threw away many easy points. We still made it but we won't do it again because the teams snapping at our heels will be strengthening their squads and we'll be left behind.

Really excited about Clarke and sessegnon for reasonable prices
I know everyone wants a marquee signing, but Clarke for £10-12m and the Sessegnon twins for £30m combined would be a great bit of business to start.

We seem to be making incremental progress on Ndombele and Lo Celso. Diawara if Poch doesn't trust Wanyama. Also some chatter around van de Beek and Zaniolo.

Preseason training kicks off July 8. Let’s have half our business done by then.

All this over an opinion on football, said to someone who suffers with massive depression as well, I suggest you take a step back and try to figure out why you hold so much hate in your heart mate.

I don't hate you, I actually have no problem with you, I disagree with you opinions but that doesn't mean I want harm to come to you.

It's sad that you think harm should come to me, I have a family and people I love in life, honestly, take a break from posting if you feel the need to say horrible shit like this to people.
Would you two CUT IT OUT... We're in this together rain or shine. We're all COYS ... come on guys....
