He is so young I guess we don't really know what he is yet. Could train on like Bale and become a forward ... he has an eye for a pass.

Your interjection implies as much. Otherwise, wdf?
I'm not. Just highlighting double standards.
Contrary to any suggestions of cabals and group think, I was simply focussed on the footy-derived part of a discussion i was already part of..... If you think i should instead focus on the cunt-off element, i shall politely dissagree.
Do what Liverpool did and spend another 150m ? \Can someone tell me what we do next summer if we spend 150M now and don’t win anything?

Actually I strongly agree with most of your opinions. I think the most important thing is to spend and build on a very talented but exhausted team with a weak bench. This is solely down to Levy. It's sink or swim time. We just made it to the top four with a poor draw against Everton and we threw away many easy points. We still made it but we won't do it again because the teams snapping at our heels will be strengthening their squads and we'll be left behind.
Every year for ten years until we finally win something.....this is what makes me laugh when people say they spent wisely.
Well, to be honest, I was talking about transfers mate, hence why I was speaking in the transfer thread but I do agree with you nonetheless.
Liverpool have spent over a billion since 2010 and won one trophy and finished top 4 three times.
300M of it across 2018.
Would you be happy with this model between now and 2028 for us to finally win something?
Feel like Trippier would rack up the assists at Juve. Less defensive responsibility and a slower game will give him more time to deliver his crosses
...and now you are hitting on the actual double standard that exists and not the fictitious one AF was projecting. If you criticize the club, its actions (or perceived inaction), the players or anything tangentially associated with any of those then you deserve whatever you get for melting...or so goes the belief/actions of a certain group of posters. He won't rebuke CG because he is one of his jack-booted thread thugs that goes around projecting his self-hatred and spewing his bile on all and sundry. Chastising him will hurt the esprit de corps. Amirite AF?So I will take your lack of condemnation as you saying that because you dislike me and disagree with my opinions on football you can't drop your ego for long enough to condemn him for telling me to kill myself either that or you don't disagree with him but don't want to say it yourself because you don't want to be binned.
I will try this again.... HE (Levy!) will lose many of us. I will always support spurs, but I have been a supporter of Levy too. And, if Levy loses Poch, that is a problem. The previous transfer record was set with considerably lower income stream (I think). If Levy does not up the ante this time around with 100 million CL money, and stadium revenue due to increase greatly, he will lose many of us, as well as Pochetino. Crossroads is exactly right.

When he was just back from his injury lay off he seemed set on moving. But it seems he has integrated back into the fold but I think he is more or less ambivalent about it now. I think he doesn't care if he moves or stays really.I thought I read somewhere that he wants a move. Could be wrong though
Not really comparable, Liverpool prior to Klopp where not in the correct position. With Klopp they had a manager capable of getting success by maximising the team overall performance. United could spend a billion this window and achieve fuck all because they don’t have the right set up. It’s about having the right set up and the right players in combination.
We have Pochettino, give him a few extra special players and enough time and he will probably win something. So yes money is a factor and Poch it seems wants to bring in some top quality players like Ndombele and Lo Celso.

I agree that Poch made some errors IMO but money was the reason we entered that game with the squad options we did. But yes, Poch could have played a bad hand better.Money is of course a factor, but money wasn’t why we lost the CL final. It was Pochs decisions.
You will get no arguments from me. The day I see one of them dropped will be a good day as that means we have options AND he recognizes these players can't be automatic starters all the time. He does need squad options that he trusts though. So he can spend 120M on Ndombele is he wants but he needs to learn how how to drop Dele, Kane and Eriksen if we are ever going to win anything.
Jeez Sammy have you been talking to the Hood lately? Not trying to diminish your point as I think he (Hood) makes a good one as well but he just does it incessantly.Spend what you want, but poor management decisions cost us every season.

They spent huge amounts on crap and underachieved for 8 seasons.
Then in the 9th season they win something and their policy was brilliant.
Quite interesting that their stand out players were a couple of full backs that cost 9M combined Henderson and Milner.

Liverpool under Klopp spent 382M in 4 years on 20 players .

What's us building a billion pound stadium got to do with our ambition on the pitch?
