Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

He's got 10 goals and 12 assists this season which isn't bad for a committed player let alone an uncommitted one.

"Isn't bad" - Pardon me for not getting too excited....

Hardly a shop window season.

And, I repeat "Particularly not when he's content to stir the post on the eve of the biggest single game of our and his history"

I don't think that he thinks that he is bigger than the shirt, I think he just wants to get the best for himself as anyone would and I'm confident that Poch knows what he's doing in regards to Eriksen.

I meant you were excusing him in such a manner.

In terms of CE s conduct; I accept business is business; but this doesn't mean there aren't certain codes of conduct that amount to integrity and respect.

EDIT: Svensen9 - 'Disagrees' from Danish Eriksen fanboys mean jack-shit, frankly. :)

Mahrez is a different class to Lamela. Agree on Origi.
I do agree that Mahrez is a better footballer than Lamela. But, as a sub to bring in at 70 mins, there isn't much of a difference between the two in terms of the impact that they can have on the game. Besides, City can probably win the League/come 2nd only with the subs and reserves. It's obvious that we can't have that kind of quality on the bench...

Have to disagree mate. Apart from his assist at the Etihad in 2015, has Lamela ever come on in a tight game and actually produced something constructive, apart from clattering into lads and getting booked?
If there is another example I'll gladly stand corrected.

Barcelona at home this year? Although we lost 4-2, he was one of the better players when he came on (he even scored a goal/created an assist if I remember correctly)

Lamela will give us a few good performances per season if we're lucky.
He runs around kicking people with both feet, yet can only kick the ball with one.
As likeable as he is with his 'derby day attitude' - in my opinion this is the kind of squad player we really need to improve on to make a step to the next level.
He wouldnt even get to sit on Man Citys bench, and basically they are the level our fans are expecting us to reach - as evidently 2nd - 4th is not good enough.

Expecting our bench to match the strength of City's bench is unrealistic.

Fiteness is the issue; he's entirely good enough for our bench.

Mate I understand that you have respect for Eriksen, I think we all do to a certain degree, especially what he’s done for us on the field.

But his quotes aren’t that of someone that hopes to commit to us, you can’t ignore what’s staring you in the face. He does NOT want to be here. Anyone who does not want to be here should be moved on as signing for us is just a second option to him. There is no way he can be fully happy and play at his best if he stays regardless of what contract he signs.

He has said from his first ever season here when asked about being at spurs for a long time:

“everybody has a plan in there head of where they want to get to, and I have mine.”

We are a stepping stone to him. Get rid, thanks for your service Christian, I don’t begrudge you anything, but bye.

We need players that buy in to the new project.
When he joined we weren't in the champions league, we had only qualified the one time, top players want to play at the highest level they can. We the fans are ready to move on a player at the drop of hat, no matter what years of service he has given, so why can't a player consider his options and get the best deal he can?
One season Jansen had before he was deemed surplus to requirements, so there was no loyalty to him there.

Maybe although not the same player, Mahrez is closer to Son or Lucas, Lamela is like Eriksen in role type.
I think they're two of the most comparable players in the league tbh. Both horrifically one footed right wingers who cut inside and try and score goals/give assists. Difference is Mahrez actually has real top quality and can beat a man and shoot a football properly.

If he can't we are screwed.

Sessegnon in the same position is an improvement.

Not quite a comparable. Ok we get rid of Lamela but he is a like for like for Eriksen in our squad, if you are talking wide forward attackers like Son, Lucas and perhaps Sessegnon that’s a different type of player.

We sell Lamela the funds should be used for Lo Celso or Fernandes.

Yeh but what I mean is Lamela is a creator or that’s his role, his position is like Eriksen, Mahrez is more a goal scorer like Son.
