Point remains... It's been a below par season for him and now we know why (not for the first time).
I don't and you're just assuming.

It's not pointless at all... It completely rubbishes your 'real job' comparison.
It doesn't, I can say that my employer doesn't mind but it's just my word and doesn't mean it would be true for every single employer, so pointless question.
Funny, you say that about proof tho.... You seem to be trading largely off of baseless speculation and faith here.
Again it's not baseless, the faith is based on him being committed for the 6 years he's been at the club.
Equating to "judge me on what I spend"/"I'd like to spend more if I can."

Not sure what issue you expect me to take with that tbh..... Especially considering he's was probably just batting back shit-stirring questioning (Like Rose previously, CE meanwhile just served up great copy on a silver platter)....

Fuck know's what that means tbh.

Fair enough (not that loan = "out" in that sense), but answer me this then?

What damage does an unwanted player with little market value playing the same game as Eriksen threaten to do?

Very little, but I'd still want the fucker out on the same principal.

Ultimately my view is simple; "media are rats, don't feed them".
That exactly what Poch does time and time again though.

Again it's not baseless, Athletico are not a bigger club than us, even if they could afford the fee I don't know why on earth he would want to go there. Barca are not going to pay 80-100 million for him only RM will possibly do that, they have a history of overpaying for players even if they don't fit the side.
PSG and all the others won't pay the fee. That's why there are reports of them offering Draxler plus money.

Atletico: Won La Liga recently... As much as it pains me to say it last pot we won was the Mickey Mouse in 08. #NewChallenge
Barca: Speculation presented as fact.
PSG & Others: Ditto.
Draxler + money: Pretty sure you said we wouldn't be interested in moving CE on..... Now it's "cash only"?

Honestly.....

Just own it, mate.... You rate Eriksen enough to overlook his conduct in the media and lack of commitment to winning the CL final. It's hardly a cardinal, real-world sin.

I don't and you're just assuming.

Assuming?

....As in imagining his comments, the timing and his track record?

If you insist.

It doesn't, I can say that my employer doesn't mind but it's just my word and doesn't mean it would be true for every single employer, so pointless question.

That wouldn't be typical..... Far from it.

Besides, by the same token why even draw the analogy to begin with then?

Again it's not baseless, the faith is based on him being committed for the 6 years he's been at the club.

As per my original interjection; his comments (and past contract impasse) & the timing of them paints an different picture....

That exactly what Poch does time and time again though.

The club is politically obliged to conduct regular pressers and face questions from the tabloid sports media; Poch gives them fuck all and is generally hostile when it comes to talking specifics.

Every time Poch opens his mouth this place descends into a frency of interpretation.... None needed with CEs ("Silverplatter" whilst potentially could cost us circa-£100m).

We should sign players but also we need to free up the squad.

But also we should keep one-legged Lamela and a disabled Wanyama.

:goonermong:

.....Who said "keep Wanyama"?

Besides, squad berths are there.... We have already lost Vorm, Dembele & Llorente.

Any early necesity for sales would only be for further fund generation.

5 years ago in 2014. That trophy you're deriding was one of our finest trophy runs.
If we were to move him on it would be cash only, I don't think Levy is keen to move him on
I'm not presenting speculation as fact any more than you are, obviously I believe my view is correct and will argue my case.

I rate Eriksen as a very good player, not good enough though for RM or Barcelona. I've got no problem with his conduct and I'm not going to single him out for blame in the CL final when everyone played badly.

5 years ago in 2014. That trophy you're deriding was one of our finest trophy runs.

I'm not deriding it..... Just pales in comparison to winning the EPL, CL or LaLiga.

"one of our finest trophy runs"

Is a bit of an overstatement mind.

If we were to move him on it would be cash only, I don't think Levy is keen to move him on

Here we go again... What makes you say THAT?

Levy

I'm not presenting speculation as fact any more than you are, obviously I believe my view is correct and will argue my case.

Sorry, but no.

My view is based upon evidence. You on the other hands are repeatedly citing faith and elsewhere claiming absolutes about the behind the scenes intentions of both us and the rest of Europe's heavyweights.

I rate Eriksen as a very good player, not good enough though for RM or Barcelona. I've got no problem with his conduct and I'm not going to single him out for blame in the CL final when everyone played badly.

There's that cuck-factor again..... Is what it is.

Assuming?

Yes assuming.
No as in you imagining that was the reason for his below the par season.

That wouldn't be typical..... Far from it.

Besides, by the same token why even draw the analogy to begin with then?
I was making the point I don't hold him to a different standard to other people who work, it was you that asked the question.

As per my original interjection; his comments (and past contract impasse) & the timing of them paints an different picture....
It paints the picture you want to see.

He gives them plenty, he's not obliged to say what he's been saying, he's a very smart man, I interpret his comments as putting pressure on Levy and the board.

Yes assuming.
No as in you imagining that was the reason for his below the par season.

So it's just all one big coincidence..... Again?

I was making the point I don't hold him to a different standard to other people who work, it was you that asked the question.

No it wasn't. You brought it to the table with "I like to think of it like any other job" (paraphrasing).

He gives them plenty, he's not obliged to say what he's been saying, he's a very smart man, I interpret his comments as putting pressure on Levy and the board.

He leaves himself open to interpretation.... Keeps 'them' guessing..... You're conceding so yourself.

Eriksen = Silver platter.

I'm not deriding it..... Just pales in comparison to winning the EPL, CL or LaLiga.

"one of our finest trophy runs"

Is a bit of an overstatement mind.
You called it a mickey mouse trophy of course it's deriding it, no it's not an overstatement we beat Man city, we thrashed Woolwich and came back from a goal down to beat the chavs to win the thing. I was hoping for a 08 performance in the CL final but it wasn't to be.

Here we go again... What makes you say THAT?

Levy
Media reports.

Sorry, but no.

My view is based upon evidence. You on the other hands are repeatedly citing faith and elsewhere claiming absolutes about the behind the scenes intentions of both us and the rest of Europe's heavyweights.

There's that cuck-factor again..... Is what it is.
What evidence? You assuming that he had a below par season because of his contract situation doesn't seem like real evidence to me.

So it's just all one big coincidence..... Again?
Could very well be yeah.

No it wasn't. You brought it to the table with "I like to think of it like any other job" (paraphrasing).
My exact words were I'm not bothered because I'm not holding to a different standard than other people who work. There are millions of people who, when they are at work are committed and work hard but at the same time look for a more forfilling job with higher pay, benefits etc. He has given 6 years service, I'm pleased with that service. You then proceeded with your questio n

He leaves himself open to interpretation.... Keeps 'them' guessing..... You're conceding so yourself.

Eriksen = Silver platter.
Keeps them speculating= feeding the media something that you are against.
I don't think he's handed anything on a silver platter but then I'm not as against him as you seem to be.

Wasn’t Walker to City around £50m, so I guess 55m for a younger player isnt too far off

Walker was a tried and tested full international with a solid 6-7 seasons under his belt plying his trade at a team finishing in the Champions League places. Wan-Bissaka has 1 full season under his belt playing for a team that battles relegation who lose more games than they win.

£55m is mental money. He hasn't even had a full international call up yet. It's big money regardless of his potential. Would be a world record fee for a full back mate.
