Haven’t watched a single minute of NDombele play, but is he good enough defensively? I’ve heard and read things about him but most is focused on his ability to pass and dribble through opponents. Is he a capable 6 or a quality defensive 8? If not, where does that leave us? Dier and Wanyama aren’t good enough / healthy enough and Winks isn’t an ideal 6.

This is 1 area I feel Poch is outstanding.. getting the best out of players defensively. He has had huge impact on quite a few players in this regard.
Give him a player with good technique or physical ability, and he will get the best possible from them. I believe NDombele has both these things, so look forward to seeing what Poch can do with him in 18 months or so.
