This isn't Woolwich 15 years ago. We have the money. We made even more money this past season than we did the season that was just reported when we had £113 million profit. The cost and depreciation of the stadium will likely be covered by the naming rights and a few other things.

You could reasonable say that the uncertainty around the stadium led to fiscal conservatism the past few (10) years, but now that its up and running in addition to Tottenham's other income streams, that logic doesn't really hold water anymore.

We need to start pressing teams again mate imo, I don't know if that's a tactical decision to not press or if that's just players not up for it as much anymore but when we do press we look a much better side for it.

I have even noticed Harry not pressing in games for us and that's something he does consistently for England which makes me wonder if it's a tactical choice for us not to do it these days.

Man Utd have agreed personal terms with Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele, according to reports.

Manchester United have agreed personal terms with Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele, according to reports.

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has previously said that both United and Manchester City had made enquiries for the player, although Tottenham are known to have been scouting the 22-year-old since the 2017-18 season – viewing him as a long-term replacement for Mousa Dembele.

Ndombele joined Lyon from Amiens in August 2017 on an initial loan deal and impressed hugely during his debut campaign, racking up 50 appearances in all competitions.

He recently spoke out about interest from England – seemingly confirming Spurs are after him but opening the door for other ‘big clubs’.

And now Soccer Link (via Sport Witness) claims that United have come to a ‘contractual agreement’ with the midfielder, while Juventus have done likewise.

The Red Devils are also understood to have ‘formulated’ a €60m bid but Lyon are looking for an offer closer to €90m, meaning United‘s bid will ‘not be sufficient’.

The report adds that Ndombele will not try and force a move away from the Parc Olympique Lyonnais, which means any potential suitors will have to get closer to Lyon’s asking price.

We've got the money. However Levy wants to do deals in his favour and if that means he has to sit and wait until he gets his way then so be it. It's always been like this, way before the stadium

We were only 6 points worse off overall and we had a horrible time with injuries.

We were the 'un drawables' for so long.. but Woolwich even took that trophy away from us.

Looking at total losses without context is a very dumb way to judge a teams performance. but some would be happier if we went 21-8-9 rather than 23-2-13 even though it is the same damn thing.

Doesn't he have personal terms with 3-4 clubs at this point? Spurs, United, Juve were the 3 I can recall seeing in the press. Doesn't really mean much.

It's not about the loss total tbh I cited that to illustrate a point because those losses have also ran in conjunction with a drop in league position and it could have been far worse for us.

If we would have taken that form into the start of the season can you imagine what might have happened? This is why it's so important we bounce into next season in a positive mindset.

The end of last season was a warning shot for us, we are closer to being caught than we are to winning the league, despite some of us, me included, earlier in the season thinking we were on par with Liverpool and City in terms of squad quality.

The scum have had their manager for one season and they very nearly finished above us and they are terrible, let's not sugar coat it, it would have been an embarrassment them finishing above us with the squad and manager they have.

That loss against Burnley was when our form basically plummeted (minus a few results) and that was soley down to lack of reinforcements imo, that's why it is imperative we go into this season with new signings and prepared for the first game, like Poch wants.

Yeah of course, but the whole team were firing on all cylinders then.
I'm just a very long way from being able to criticise possible our biggest ever legend in the making mid way through his career.
I don't know - maybe if there were forums for the 65/66 season, Greaves would have been criticised for his 15 in 29, rather than his 35 & 37 in 41 games 2-3 years ago.

There's also the fact that he can't stay healthy. Its got to be tough when you miss a month, play 6 games, miss 6 weeks and then play again. No way to get in a rhythm.
