Transfers Summer 2019 transfer thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Lol I'm not saying it's an easy transfer to pull off Infact quite the opposite but will Spurs ever get a better chance to pull off the coup of alltime then right now?

Everything is perfectly aligned to achieve it we have a steadfast chairman who negotiates the correct way (it may be slow getting deals done but he is a negotiation master)
We have some of the best facilities anywhere in the world (training centre/stadium) appealing to many top players
We have just reached a champions league final (as crap as the final itself was we have put ourselves on the world footballing map) again appealing to any top player
A manager who is as loyal as he is passionate working miracles and Magic with the players he has shaped and moulded since being in this country again appealing to any player who has ambition and determination to become even better tell me any young pro footballer who wouldn't want to play for Poch?
Then we have Eriksen who has said he "wishes to try something new" and PSG are interested.

Mbappe isn't happy playing in a dogshit league and also wants to move on.

He solves all problems with a Kane absence and could play as a winger or striker and tell me 1 striker apart from Vincent Jansson could he not make into a better player?

So bid now even if it was150 million plus Eriksen

Spurs would make the money back in share prices and merchandising alone

Low risk high gains

Marlboro tobacco get yourself some lol
I think Son already solves that problem, we beat Man City and Chelsea without Kane.

Mbappe is probably 1 of a small handful of players in world football who could genuinely turn Spurs into world beaters
A transfer of Mbappe would of course not guarantee we would win titles cups or European trophies but I firmly believe he would get us nearer to the prizes he has the hunger to succeed and achieve and any team in the world would benefit with him in the starting 11

He would never sign for us and we would never pay the kind of money PSG would want and the wages he'd be after.

Why go for Mbappe when it would never happen? What kind of money do you think PSG would want for him, how much in wages would he command and if he becomes available how many other juggernaut teams would go for him as well? There would be no chance of getting him so what would be the point wasting time on him when we can focus on other more realistic targets? Transfers are a 3 way street and Mbappe would give no shits about Tottenham's interest.

I know it's fantasy football, but a system where he and Kane played in the same team can't be devised?

We've dabbled with 2 up top - i.e. Kane + a pacier partner (Son/Lucas) - much of last season afterall.

He'd be amazing but then again so would my offspring if I got to ferociously mate with Heidi Klum.

It simply will never happen, we couldn't even muster a deal for Jack Grealish so I'll leave the Mbappe fantasy for others to chew on.

He would but when we are still haggling over spending 60m we certainly are not going to entertain 200m or close to it so on that basis it's not worth debating.

Sun (snigger) says Sessengon maybe happy to ride another year out at Fulham and sign for Inter on a bosman in January.

Still not convinced he could plop straight in as a starter.....

Tell ya what though, if 80kpw is 'too much' for Rose, it doesn't speak well of the level of team interested in him.... I assume he had a somewhat higher figures in mind when he went rogue in the press t'other summer.

Btw has anyone mentioned Sessegnon was taken off injured ( probable hamstring,) last night playing for E u21s so probably misses preseason and start of season.

So doubt rose going snywhere

Sessegnon wouldn't cut it as a starter at the moment. He should only come in as a squad player and should only get cup games or league games whenever senior players need rotating.

£35m with a year left on his contract is a no go for me. £20m I'd be keen on but £35m is too much as it stands. Unfortunately Fulham don't need the money so it's a little bit of a bugger getting it done it seems. I'm with you that he shouldn't be starting.

I don’ understand why we are so eager to sell Danny, and the notion that we want to replace him with Sess just boggles my mind.

His talk was bigger than his game

One year left and on the back of last season they should be lucky to get 10M for him.

Crap in my opinion

The thing is with Sessegnons results in the Championship he'll be worth far more to them than £10m. I wouldn't be surprised if Fulham decide to keep him, use him to get back into the Prem and let his fee go to a tribunal. I also see him having more of a future as a LB than a WF and I'd like to think he'd come in with both options a possibility based on how he develops. I see him making a better left back in time than a WF but that's just based on what I've seen of him so far.

I think pre-injury it would have been an entirely different proposition.

But like Toby, it's all very well and good chatting shit from the treatment table, but it may come back to haunt you.

(Rightfully or wrongly, some of his subsequent chats with the media won't have helped his cause either..... He has painted a picture of a player winding his career down.)
