1 CM and 1 Winger

If Eriksen goes, then a young CAM too.

It's about all I can bring myself to hope for given Levy-nomics.

Presumably one worthy of starts tho, no?

Let's face it, in the short-term Sess ain't much more use to us than GKN (and he's pretty much top of the out-list)... Even less so at LB.

Same as replacing CE... New starter required surely?

I'd like to see him split time behind Son at LW and Rose/Davies at LB, especially when we play a back 5.
I think he'd be just fine in that role for a first year.

I'm of the opinion that if we can fund 2 players of starting quality (one at CM is essential), then the depth gets improved anyway, I thought all along that we could ride out 1 season without improvements (as we have!), but another is where the real risk kicks in.

Any players of Clarke/Sessengon's ilk AFTER that would be a welcome 'bonus'.

This is based on NO significant exits.

Not necessarily. But we def need a CM if Dele becomes our no 1 CAM again (which he ought to be).

Dele is going to lose interest and leave us after next season if we play him at CM again for a full year.

I fear ya.... I guess I should have been clearer and said "starting quality" (otherwise the overall quality in depth drops severely).

ffffffff

Got to say I also don't see the kid playing for us for much for a year or 2.
If you pay £25m for a lad, it gives people a false sense of what he is - which is a young, inexperienced player (albeit 100 senior games at 19) who struggled in a struggling side in the prem. No real shame in that, but I have always found big players stand out in poor teams.
He's 19 yes, but he just doesn't look ready. I think it would be foolish to split his time over 2 positions, unless that's done in 2-3 league cup games and nothing else.
Looks like an attacker to me. Call me crazy, but he would have to do a fucking lot to impress me enough for wanting him to start over other players.

He won't be playing left back for fcuk sake.

If truth be told I am nearing paramoid schizophrenia witb us and signings.

Like we have some rabid aversion to new starters.

Fooking weird exactly what we are looking for in players.

Yea I understand what you are saying.
It's just that, if he gets any better, we'll never have a chance of signing him.
It's now or never. I'd like us to take that chance rather than not.
He doesn't need to start straight away either.

IDK, I think we stand a good chance of maintaining or even improving if we lose Eriksen, move Dele back to CAM, and get a proper winger to provide attacking depth.

Lucas can play CAM too. Lamela, if he is still alive, can do a fine job spelling Lucas at RW, and Sess could back up Son at LW.

I agree we definitely need a CM though.
I'm seriously worried though that Ndombele is beyond Levynic's means/wants at this point.
Fine (hurts), but hopefully they can spring for a Diawara type at least.

We're in a transition year this or next, and next would mean a lot of talent walking for free, so we might as well face it up and bite the bullet.
Who fucking knows though. Levy is so f-ing frustrating to try and predict.

Not really knowing the intended formation(s)(*)+ Toby/Eriksen's futures render the bulk of our speculations (my own included!) rather futile beyond conversational fodder.

(*None more so than Dele IMO..... He needs to play in a 4231 or 3421 if he's gonna be the auxiliary striker we came to love.)

On a broader note; I think this is where much of the frustration comes... Peeps feel the need to predict and in some cases be seen to know as much as the pro's.
