genuinely few signings have had me this excited. They've been mainly brilliant so far....

Klinsmann
Bale
Ginola
Rebrov
Modric

The Klinsmann one was unreal - I remember hearing this on 5 Live and was in such disbelief l tuned in every hour for the rest of the day to hear it again and again. A truly ridiculous signing in the context at the time
The Klinsman signing was on holiday my dad sent me to get a newspaper, the Guardian I returned with the Sun and very giddy with excitement

So besides Bill Madrid Bill Madrid not liking him, what up with Dani? Just another bloke who is good but RM keeps on the bench?

This looks pretty fucking good to me:

The support that I, others and Poch himself has been screaming for finally looks like it could become reality. Massive, long overdue reward for our relentless calling for proper backing and stronger investment.
Still think the nay sayers and excuse mongerers should join us in our celebrations though.

If Ings is going for £20m and Jarrod Bowen for £15m we can definitely get at least £30m for those two together.

Wanyama's knees have gone, and Lamela... we're over paying him and it becomes very hard to shift players when that happens. Many examples of this: Are there clubs that would like to sign Bale, Ozil or Alexis Sanchez? Definitely, but are there are clubs that would match their current wages? No. Hence they'll probably end up staying where they are. There's clubs that would sign Lamela, in Serie A, and La Liga, but wouldn't offer the same wages, especially with his injury record, so he'll still be here in all likelihood come September.

Over the time Poch has been here we've been excellent in getting the salary levels right and not over paid many players. The Lamela contract last year was a mistake though.

John Thomas John Thomas Incomplete_usernam Incomplete_usernam Notabadsquad You bunch of troglodites can fucking apologise now if you like. Go send an email to Levy apologising, and then you'll be welcome to join in the celebrations with us proper fans who kept the faith

He apparently only wanted to come to us on loan, he doesn't want to be sold by Madrid. That's a red flag right there.

It's done ... and here's a weird thing ... I told you the deal was agreed a few days ago and that all that was needed was personal terms ... seems we were the ones pushing for six years, not sure if Ndombele went for it or not ...

Six years is our new thing for top players, gives us three years no worries, a fourth year to extend the contract, a fifth year to sell, with a 'spare' year on the end ....

Wasn't it just two years ago that the senile old git down the road said "players will no longer sign long contracts one, two years at the most" good old Wonger, no wonder Woolwich are so fucked !!!!!!!
