Our gratitude should go to Sissoko for last season.

At times we were struggling to put out a coherent midfield due to injuries, loss of form. He was the one person we could consistently rely on to give everything for the team and turn in a performance.

Ok, he has footballing limitations as described at length and he may now struggle to make the starting lineup with all these new acquisitions, but we owe him.

Yep, don't disagree with that for a minute.

It's Blakey's denial of this that leads to him mugging himself off... He is at war with the false notion that everyone thinks Sissoko is a footballing genius... Which is simply untrue. He will then manufacture any opportunity he can to try and refute said idea. Some would call it a complex.

That will indeed be an interesting test. I think Poch has been picking Sissoko because he has to, not because he wants to. If we sign 3 new midfielders and he continues to pick Sissoko as a starter then you'll be right and I'll be wrong.

Not because he wants to?
He’s picked Sissoko for three years.
34 games in 2016/17
47 games in 2017/18
44 games last season.

People don’t have to rate Sissoko, but all this pretending that Poch doesn’t is pure bollocks.
The manager both rates, respects and trusts him, so feel free to disagree with him, but let’s not try and fake a story where Sissoko is some kind of Njie.

Well I never mentioned Njie - but you're right, I don't know what Poch thinks - fair challenge.

It’s this pretence that Sissoko is some kind of bit part fringe player forced into the team by injuries why I mentioned Njie......three seasons he’s played 125 games, yet people are trying to act like the manager had no choice.

You don’t know what Poch thinks?
Yet you seem to know he thinks that Sissoko is not good enough and he only picked him because he had to.....?

How do you know that then, when the facts over the last three seasons paint a very different picture?

Indeed... Let's be honest.... If Poch doesnt fancy you you're as good as fucked.... N'jie, GKN, Stambouli, Jansen, KWP.
