So I would be very shocked if we didn't get one and based on how transparent they've been about buying one, I'm not sure selling first is required. I think it's more so waiting for the leverage to swing in our direction. Which with Milik, it seems to swinging in our favor.

If he wants to play Brazian Serie B next season that's the place to go. Also I don't know how Gremio would pay his wages. In today's value he would earn like 4 million reais for a month, that's tottaly out of brazilian football reality, unless they are really planing on sell Jean Pyerre to found his wages, what would be a pretty bad move also.
I think he's been pretty solid for Real Sociedad, can't say he's ever stood out for me when I've seen them (which isn't a great deal).
I get that and I’m not advocating playing Kane every match. I just don’t buy the narrative that he’s the only player on the team who can play striker.
Unreal.
He isn't.
But Son, Lucas, Bergwijn, and Bale are all better playing out wide with a true striker in the middle. Yes, those guys can all fill-in at striker, but we aren't getting the best version of those players by putting them in that position.
That's just my opinion on it.

Bottom line; if you're hoping for Son / Kane / Bale to be the first XI then when we rotate who ARE you gonna put at ST?
Sure you can just chuck a rusty Lucas, Bergwijn or Lamela up there, but it's hard enough to shake off bench-rust as it is without being in a less than familiar position.
God forbid Kane gets an injury with that kind of schedule.
