Transfers Summer 2020 Transfer Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

IN :Kim min Jae, Aarons, Hojbjerg, Willian, Milik (75m)

Out: Vertonghen, Rose, Kwp, N'dombele (70m)

Would people be happy with that? What league position would we be looking at with that as our summer buisness?

If they're all on the gaffa's radar then I'd be happy enough. If that is the case then regardless of the names I'd be hoping for top4 & EL win.

But...

- Not sold on Aarons or Hojberg.... Considering what they'd likely cost surely there's higher calibre options out there? (People lose their shit about Serge on a weekly basis... How is swapping out MA for KWP a solution to anything?)
- Can't see the point in Willian. We already have wide industry in Lucas & Lamela and he'll want a fat wage.

I'm looking forward to the meltdown on here when the clock starts clicking, the links start drying up like cats piss on a hot tin roof, and the ITK's come out the woodwork and start trolling us. :avbnaa:
How long until Duncan Castles starts writing articles about how Mourinho is "frustrated with the lack of signings" or something along those lines? I'm saying around August 25th to make sure it gets a full media cycle after the CL final coverage.

I would rate it as a 3 or 4 out of 10 and expect us to finish between 5-8.

It has about every low bar expectation for what I have based on rumours in each position.

Hjobjerg and Milik I like but they are more competent additions in spots of need than real game changers.

I don’t see Aaron’s for KWP as much of an upgrade or Aarons as solidifying that RB spot. Would much prefer the rumoured Castange.

Kim seems very meh and more of adding a body for the sake of adding someone. I would much rather add rumoured youngsters like Oblak or Margahles or the veteran Dias at CB.

Willian is a fine addition but we have so many wingers already. I would prefer to add a LB or get a young guy in that spot.

Overall if we add those guys and lose Ndombele I dont see where the creativity comes from. That leaves GLC as the only creative player in the team. I have my doubts he can do it but at least he has the potential. If we sell him we need a creative player coming back and preferably one close to the 60 million valuation.

Those additions seem make our team slightly better but with a lot of the same issues we currently have. Both FB spots would be a concern, CB still a concern, MF creativity still a concern. Only spot I see solidified is DM and Back up striker.

I would say after those moves we would still need at least 4 new starters- RB, LB, CM and a CB to start or rotate with Toby/Sanchez. And we would have a massive need for creativity in CM/AM positions probably two more players if that type I would want added.

1 every 3 crosses is successful, 3 crosses a game so that seems pretty promising
Assists this season: Castagne: 3; Aurier: 8.

If we can just end the season on a high by thrashing Palace, securing 6th spot and a Europa place then both the players and supporters lift their spirits and look towards next season with positivity. Then hopefully we can attract the talent we need in the transfer window.
The alternative is 7th or 8th spot, we lose our eleven year record and spend our Summer in here lamenting on what could have been.
Never thought Spurs would be looking for Chelsea to defeat Wolves in order to achieve some semblance of success. We simply must get 3 points on Sunday.
