Let’s take advantage of Brozovic acting like a child and scoop up both him and Skriniar.

Lloris
Aarons/KWP - Toby - Skriniar - Sessegnon
Hojbjerg - Brozovic
Lucas - Lo Celso - Son
Kane

We were recently linked with Ozan Kabak and now it seems Liverpool is the hot rumor. I think this one is worth looking into. 20 years old and had a good season in Bundesliga.

Are we factoring in that this was something like his 7th game (and he's played most of all of them) in 30 days - in July (eg hot).

I haven't done a full Hojbjerg v Brozovic trundle assessment, but even if it's close on trundle, he's a fuck of a lot better with a football and more press resistant IMO.

Edit, I also think Brozovic is a better reader (of the game, not literature).

I'm in a book club with Broz, he loves romance novels funny enough

Agreed mate, hence why some of us would love new owners and to be taken over by a super power. Seems the only way now to gain real success.
True. The games changed. Chelsea & utd showing signs of intent & ambition with big spending but no one expects them to win the title. That's how much things have moved on. You need to keep spending just to avoid going backwards.

According to Di Marzio, we are having difficulties with Skriniar´s wage demands - which I find interesting.

He´s supposed to be paid 1.7m per year at Inter. Of course, he´d want a raise if he is going to a top Premier League club. And from Levy´s perspective, would also make sense trying to accommodate the new player for less than the 200k per week we pay for Ndombele

Still, 1.7m per year is less than 40k per week. Between 40k and 200k, in normal circumstances, I think an agreement could be found.

However:

1 - If we are offering reasonable money, but Skriniar is going crazy in his demands, I´m not so sure we should sign him.

2 - That´s why such deals are so rare. Too many variables.

If he doesn't want to leave he could be pulling a Zlatan when PSG were courting him. He did not originally want to leave Milan so he kept making wilder and wilder wage demands to make PSG pull out of the deal. Problem was that they just kept accepting them and eventually he felt that he would be stupid to not accept.

There are quotes from Skriniar saying he would like to end his career at Inter Milan, etc. But I think it´s also about his wage expectations going to City or United. He could be asking Tottenham what the richest clubs in England would pay him.
