Said every summer, innit? What makes you think Kane is ambitious? You know him? Or just believe everything the tabs say?

Kane is one of the most dogged, single-minded, determined athletes I've ever seen, the guy is a fucking animal. It's no wonder he's got such a hard-on for Tom Brady, it's the same sort of monomaniacal focus on his craft.

Now, maybe that translates into stubbornness that he is going to be the one to bring trophies to his boyhood club. That's been true so far, and long may it continue.

But at no point is Harry Kane's attitude toward his career going to be relaxing and settling for less. He is not wired that way.

He's going to go like hell until his body won't let him anymore, he probably will make a more serious go of his NFL kicker thing than people expect, and then he'll become a bad, overbearingly intense manager that his players hate.

ENIC have failed because their business model is built around growing assets and ROI figures - not trophies. We’ve been over this many times.
No ENIC have done their bit and are successful, ie the new stadium, keeping the club self sufficient, making profits.
Levy has provided sufficient tools for a Carabou or FA Cup but the staff failed on the pitch. You don’t think this team has ever been good enough to win a domestic?

We should have won the title in 2016 as we had a far better team than the title winners.
That’s not on the owners. Sorry.

Hahha - this is next level delusion

Fair enough. Maybe he'll extend his contract and commit his career to us. Would be wonderful.

He'll be 28 though. I think he's ambitious because sometimes the words which he says and come out of his mouth form sentences which express ambitious ideas like winning trophies and even, on occasion, competing for the league title.

But maybe he's not ambitious. Maybe he'll stay with us for the rest of his career and when he retires we can give him a signed photo of Gary Mabbutt performing 'Rio' by Duran Duran at Billericay Golf Club.

Point being that every single season every shit rag in the world and the same old posters here drag out the old "Levy has to make signings to match Kane's ambition or he'll be gone to United/Madrid next summer". And every single summer he goes away, rehabs whatever this year's season scuttling injury was. Comes back and gets to work. He's never held the club's feet to the fire, always extended his contract well ahead of time.

Maybe he truly loves Spurs. Maybe he's comfortable living his life in North London than fucking off somewhere he doesn't want to live for a job. Maybe he realizes one big triumph at Tottenham would mean more to his legacy and standing long term than half a dozen medals at United or City.

For whatever reason it is, he seems pretty damn content and the incessant "have to make a signing or we'll lose Kane" is just kinda tired. What we need to do is sign someone so we're not fucked next year when he's injured again. Thats more of a priority than signing someone to make him happy.

Good old ENIC, at the heart of all our off-field success, not responsible in the slightest for our continued failure on it.
And I’ll say it again.
The back up disposed of City and Ajax over 4 legs.
The manager ran out of ideas in the final though and used his only tactic “Kane”....who was injured.

Are you suggesting that despite what took place without our best player in the quarters and semis, that there was zero chance we couldn’t have beaten Liverpool because of ENIC?

I know for a fact that nobody here believes that, or you wouldn’t have bothered watching.

Or Liverpool simply had better players on the night while we fielded the shitcunts Sissoko and Winks because that is what ENIC has provided
