Transfers Summer 2020 Transfer Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I like the idea of focusing the club’s efforts on developing first team players through the academy system. It’s a good way to supplement our regular transfer system.

I would not be shocked to see a few academy players surprise us and make a big leap this upcoming season.

I am certain that the hungry and motivated players took advantage of the time provided by the shutdown to work on their individual skills, particularly in the areas that need development. Let’s hope one or more of them can make the jump this season.

How can you expect this when our best prospect hasn’t broken through and has gone to Millwall on loan? Not digging you out, just interested.

I didn’t say I expect it. I said we should focus more on developing our youth academy players as a way to SUPPLEMENT our regular transfer system. Look at Chelsea, Man Utd., and even Liverpool and Man City.

I said I would not be shocked (which does not = expect) to see someone from our youth academy to have a breakthrough this upcoming season. Those kids had a lot of time during the shutdown to work on their individual skills alone. If any of them took full advantage of that opportunity, I would not be shocked to see them make a big leap.

We had Tanganga do it last year to a certain degree. I would like to see it more often.

We are looking at scraps.

Clear as day.
To be fair mate it's knowing your place in the chain and your willingness to spend.
So in order to do that we let the big hitters go first, so Everton, Newcastle, West ham and wolves, then we come in with the likes of Burnley, Southampton, villa etc.
This is the way we challenge and keep the club relevant, along with the expanding fan base and profile whilst paying a small fortune for the privilege.

TBH the pace in Serie A would probably suit Sissoko well. And I am not sure that Brozovic and Conte see eye to eye.

I don't see Inter offering to sell Skriniar nor do I think that we are looking to ship Ndombele yet either.

they don’t want sissoko. Why would a team in one of themost technical leagues in Europe want one of the players with the worst technique in the premier league?

Id love it to be true but it isn’t is it?
