Hypothetically we could always loan players in. But I also think we have to balance the foreign/homegrown quota a bit. Which means selling foreign players if we want new ones in.

Yeah I meant the quota really, as we're being linked to foreign players I assume that will then mean we're reliant on shifting some of ours already.
Striker - Kane, Son. Alli can also play up top; as can Lamela.
LB - Davies, Sess, , Cirkin, Bale
RB - Aurier, Foyth, Gedson
Sure, they may not be the best options; but its not like we wouldn't be able to put a team out!

I know we have people to use there, but to be in a position of 1 specialist striker, 1 specialist left back and 1 specialist right back and yet still having a full 25 man squad, you'd think there'd at least be one area of particular strength elsewhere, I just struggle to fathom what it is. I guess we have too many jack of all trades master of nones.

Sure, but we've rocked a smaller squad for the last two years and seen how that impacts us with injuries.
We could do with a couple more homegrown players. Or just switching some of the foreign players out just to change things up.

I'm not sure they are building a particularly good squad
The defence / gk seem like a complete afterthought - you need to get that sorted first to challenge

Can people please stop whinging about Chelsea and their signings.
People are getting upset because a manager who has never had money to spend before suddenly does, and he's making it look like he's playing football manager. Their problem is defence, but Lampard isn't a good enough manager to identify and sort that.
I'd rather trust the judgement of one of the most successful managers ever over a manager who only got the job because the club were banned from making transfers. If Pep, Ancelotti and Mourinho all rated and were interested in Hojbjerg, it probably means he's a good player. Hart isn't coming in to be first team, he's here for English quota and to be a big voice in the dressing room. Man City have just signed Scott Carson on loan for fucks sake, it's what clubs do!

Thiago Silva stinks of desperation. Lampard is too busy playing fantasy football with his attack that he's just making up for it by signing old freebies for defence. It's a disaster waiting to happen.
Anyone can spend money, let's see how these players actually perform before giving up. We all got very excited when Ndombele rocked up and we know how that turned out. Chelsea have spent a lot of money on some good talents but none proven at the top level.
No matter how much money they throw around, they aren't going to sign anyone better than Kane or Son. So let's be calm and look forward to a season where we can get all our best players on the pitch together.

There's a bunch of posters on here who've had 'transfer envy' every fucking time another team has signed someone this window, and it's boring as fuck.
You know the way we work by now, and if you don't, like fuck have you been a lifelong spurs fan. Don't like it? Find another club to support, because it's not going to change.
Personally, I can't wait for the season to start. I'll take the highs and lows as they come, as I've always done. Fucking get a grip.
