These reports keep comparing Kante to Ndombele like they are similar players. It's the one part of the rumor I don't get at all. That and the alleged issues with Mourinho and Ndombele would likely still be an issue with Conte as well.

If we get Skriniar + Sangare and ship out Ndombele that is the only thing that would make sense to me from a squad building perspective, but this seems like the kind of deal that is too complicated to get over the line.

Depends on if Tanguy is swapped for Skriniar for me, if he is and we don’t sign another creative CM then we are fucked IMO.

We would be 1 injury away (Lo Celso) from kane being the only player on the field that can makes threatening passes.

And he can’t pass them to himself can he?:levystare:

I could agree with you, but Ndombele isn't been used at all. I like him, but we need a player that plays, there's no point keeping him if Mourinho won't use him.

Robin Quaison. Swedish striker currently at Mainz that we have been linked with in the German press. He scored 13 this previous season for a struggling Mainz team and 7 the year before. As well as being Sweden's leading goalscorer in the Euro qualifiers with 5.

He's 26 years old so has a lot of years in him still as well. His best position is as a second striker behind the number 9 so he can run into space to score. But he did well as a pure 9 this previous season for Mainz. And can also play on the wing. He's not as big a signing as Milik would be but I think he would come with a lot of upside.

Is why I think Quaison would work. He's 26 and has a few years of experience and when Troy is ready he is is still young enough for us to get a decent fee for him.

This is what people seem to be forgetting.

If we swap Ndombele for a centre back - we are still needing a creative central midfielder....

And they don't come too cheap.
