Anything under £15-18m makes sense because we are probably going to get around that for Aurier.

Still think there is a low % chance of signing another RB and Mourinho goes with the Gedson/Tanganga plan. I think a backup striker is greater priority than another RB, but that's not saying much.
I think there will be a lot of loan movement later in the window as clubs struggle to shift players. Maybe we’ll bring in an understudy that way.

This is a weird, weird window. There will have been 4 PL matches, 3 EL group matches and 2 league cup ties before the window closes, so I could see a ton of movement the last couple of weeks based on injuries, form, players falling out with managers, etc...

Im not bothered about a swap for Skrinair. I’d be taking £40-£45m and going to get Van de Beek immediately. He’s desperate to come to the Premier League. If not him then Grealish.

The only positive I see in this is Levy is standing firm, so if he does actually go I see it being for a substantial amount of money, maybe even close to 60 mill (think we paid 45 according to lyon’s financial reports).

If we re-invest that properly then I can make peace with it. Still would be a shame but at the moment the situation looks more positive than It felt a few weeks back.

If he goes it won’t be at a financial loss and if he stays then we get to hopefully see him come good.:moursad:

Chilwell isn't anything special to be honest.

Certainly not worth £50,000,000.

I'm sure people just see 'NEW SIGNING' and '50 MILL' and get depressed it wasn't us wasting money on an average player.

I can understand people getting upset over Werner and Ziyech (even though we have Kane and Son) - but Chillwell, really?

Inter seem to be pretty free with their cash; i think we ought to push for every penny we paid if they're that determined to get him.
