Let's put it this way, if there was a good time to play coy it's while tying up relatively cheap business for Højbjerg and Doherty and letting Chelsea spunk their entire budget within a month.

I cannot shake the feeling that Van de Beek is gonna be a late move for someone. I'd suggest we might well be one of the better suited clubs for putting him straight into the starting XI.

Where's the niche for him? ......In what position/role?

1 x CAM role vs GLC, Dele & maybe Ndombele.
 
I would have loved Costa a few seasons ago but I think he's finished. Physically he still is reasonably good, but his confidence is shot and looks burnt out.
