It's rather sad considering how happy he was to sign his new contract and commit to the next couple of years with us (in the documentary) - but alas if his legs are starting to go then his days here and numbered. Worth noting that Jan is only a couple of years older than Toby, so if the former suddenly declined at the start of the 2019/20 season...
Hmmm maybe that new contract was about selling him

That’s the crutch here, if skriniar can play LCB then great but if he can’t and we don’t pair him with sanchez then we will be stuck with another slow CB pairing.

Agree, that's why I'd want that Barca young CB or the like that Five/BC suggest, someone lean powerful, outstanding potential, quick burst pace, fast minded. One who could cover either CB, ideally very early 20's.

Think maybe Kane's said this is his last season if we don't win something, so Levy has decided it's relatively risk free to invest £100M (before later sales), on what his team have agreed are 'commodity quality' as we can recover that from Kane next summer if it fails and striking now we would only need to replace Kane (should the next signing(s) manifest and perform).

Agree, hoped he'd recover has zip after the break, but clearly not.

Thing is, Levy is gonna be relaying to Inter we value Toby at £20M or so, which if Conte has a boner for him (as he does many 30's players), it will help make £45M actually only £10M!!! (if SpursIdols £15M owed guess is right).

Eriksen may actually be facilitating a big chunk of our recovery project.

You’re still droning on? Come on man, get a life. Time to call it a day and accept you were wrong. Your next reply will no doubt be as boring as it is inevitable. I won’t be replying though. Even in the unlikely event you find something witty to say.
You could have just avoided it all and learned after the first post. And you have been free to not reply at any point. But you can't stand losing face, feeling all beta. I truly hope you live up to your word and not reply. At least you can save a little dignity here.

I think you're mixing up Harry Kane with Ollie Holt.

He has said that he would leave if the club didn't match his ambition. He has said that for a while now.

The thing is a good defender, and he has been a very good defender, should be able to compensate for losing a few steps by reading the game, communication with his partner, but all this too has been a bit lacking from him. He’s had some good games too, but he’s not been leading the defence in a manner that a player of his experience should. It’s like the collapse of the Poch era and losing the CL final affected some of the players so deeply that they’ve been in trance ever since.

Mate, the collapse started, firmly, Burnley away Feb 2019, it was already in progress that whole season, but the wall was struck Burnley, think the high training + intensity burned them all out, as it was a collective drop. After that game (which preceded a 2 week break, where I remember virtually praying Poch would sun n recover them to the max, but they came out soulless zombies), then on we didn't win Away until Mourinho, somehow Poch talks stimulated their exhausted adrenals to perform second half very often, the CL produced it's own stimulant to them and relight their collective fire, but it was a beautiful dying flicker of the flame.

I loved Poch, but he became dogmatic (when not getting players or squad turnover, if he had een denied such, he had to scale down the intensity demand on those serving 2+ years with him, he clearly never did.

Such is life. Toby looks low oxygen to me, a historical diet too high in processed fats, lacking high enough N3 to compensate, tough to pull that around in your 30's.

What's happening here.
We getting Skriniar, Diop or Dias?

Not sure about any of these. I'm still adamant we need a natural left footed CB.

I've been a critic of Sanchez but as the quickest and strongest CB we have then I think we should keep him and work on him. He would allow us to play 3 CB.

I don't agree with buying 2 CBs either. I would rather activate the Partey release clause and get the DM we need.

Not a fan of Toby going the other way in any Skriniar deal.

Also not sure why we are going all out but leaving a gaping hole in the MF with no DM. Seems like if your going all in having PEH there plugging things up and needing so much help makes no sense.
