What was quite telling about that level of hate was it was based entirely on appearance. He actually said during the doc that he (they/club) had "identified players and we're hoping to bring in 3 or 4 players in". Almost as if he was doing the job that he's hired to do.

I'm not sure why people seem to think that looking and sounding like David Ginola or Paolo Maldini is important for a football scout

He can get fucked. He upped sticks for 18 months because he thought the grass was greener.

Now the goings good he's open to return.

Piss off, Christian.

Difference here is that Bale came back after what, 6 years?

Christian would be back after less than a year. Yes it is petty but it's also logical that for some fans the wounds would still be fresh.
The key question is - is Eriksen playing well these days?

If he’s like Eriksen of the old then of course I want him back.

If he’s playing like he did in the last year he was with us, then thanks but no thanks.

All of the players were shit back then, he regressed a lot as well. But I don't accuse him of not giving a fuck, no one was playing Good back then. Not even Kane.
I'm not on about level of performance, I'm on about level of effort.

I stopped counting the amount of times he pulled out of a challenge.

Bale was player of the year the season before he left. He may have fucked training off and been a complete diva, but he never stopped putting in the effort on the pitch.

IIRC correctly his last ever touch for Spurs was a 90th minute winner on the last day of the season.

People are obsessed with defensive midfielders.

Have they not been watching Højbjerg in recent games?

Yea, agreed, against ManU he was awesome.
But even Southampton had 19 shots (!!) against us, which is absolute bollocks.
Regarding yesterday we have to consider we played 11 against 10. Until red card I found that they still got through the middle of the pitch too easy. We ain't gonna be playing with an extra man in all of the games.

Also against strong sides I could totally see us playing 4-3-3 with DM+Hjojberg+Ndombele/Lo Celso.

Not to even mention injury risk. Again - by this logic - why did we want to get 2nd striker behind Kane - first option is already good!! Why get something else there, but in DM it would be unheard of?

I really do not see how this would be preposterous suggestion to find a dedicated DM.

Because we don't need one. We're not buying an entire new fkin squad. 🙄
