I have many times said who I think should go actually. I have certainly not been quiet about my thoughts on the team.

The simplest thing is that I think there isn't one player on this team I wouldn't sell if a good offer came in. Reguilon is the closest because of his skill, age and available options to replace him but that's it.

For me the players I would want to get rid of, understanding we likely (still think we should) can't move them in one transfer window:

Hart, Gazzanigga, Dier, Sanchez, Foyth, Davies, Aurier, Doherty, Dele, Winks, Sissoko, Moura, Lamela, Bale, Vinicius.

I would sell Ndombele if he doesn't want to be here, but I can't ask him that.

Kane and Son would also depend on if they want to be here or not and if I could get the money for them.

I would consider moving Lloris for a younger option but it wouldn't be top priority and would depend on the cost to bring in a Areola or someone similar.

I would consider selling GLC because of his injury history but with all the guys that I prefer to move before him would likely keep him because we need his talent and specific skills.

The rest I would only move if there was a really good offer coming in that I could use to buy a better player.
So you want to sell almost the whole squad?
OK.

Fuck me, you don't even see your own fucking irony do you.

He was on the La Liga team of the season last year. Big fucking whoop, he played for Sevilla then. Since he's come to Spurs, which is what us Spurs fans base performance on, what has he done thats special??

So we ignore the skill he has shown previously? Especially for a young guy not sure why you would ignore what he has done recently to get a picture of the type of the player he is.

For us he is great going forward, great at crossing the ball, great in defense, not scared in attack, with the ball at his feet or in defense. Has the speed to threaten defenders while going forward as well to track back when he goes deep into the other half.

No, we base him on his current form for his current club.

He's rash, he jumps into stupid tackles, he's not that fast, he ball watches, he gives away possession in dangerous positions, he lacks basic defending ability.

But hey, he was brilliant for Spurs last season....oh wait

OK.
Sell almost all the squad and buy 16 new players is your plan. Fair enough.

Don't need to buy 16 new players. We can move guys up from the youth system. Bring back guys from loans.

Better than keeping guys who aren't good enough because its too hard to get rid of them all. That is an awesome way to build a successful team.

Bale has played well when he's been put in the first XI to be fair, so if he wanted it I would extend his loan for another season. Lucas Moura has also played well for us this season, and given the covid recession, he is worth far more to the squad than the paltry amount of money we'd get for him.

The rest I would agree with actually. That's 12 sales (Vinicius can just not have his loan extended).
I wonder how much we can raise from that?

Bale costs too much for how little he is able to contribute. We don't have enough talent to carry a luxury player like him around. I loved when they announced he was coming back, loved having him here this year but the team is too poor to spend money on a guy that can contribute every couple of games and rarely give 100% for 90 minutes.

Moura has been very meh so far this year. Still has no passing ability, no creativity. He kills attacks because of have slow he forces us to play with his poor touch receiving the ball and slow processing spend. I would have other guys on the list out ahead of him but he clearly isn't good enough to start and offers very little off the bench. Perhaps if we bring in more players with creativity and passing his deficiencies in these areas will be easier to handle.

The only player anywhere good enough for the Premier league out of the Academy or out on loan is Skipp and he will need time to adapt.

Bale's wages are heavily subsidised by Real, and in my opinion he can contribute regularly if given the chance to. Jose had an agenda against him.
Lucas is a good bench option and rotation option; he's one of our best players off the ball as he can press well, shows great energy, and can be very direct with his dribbles. One to keep for sure, although we both agree he shouldn't be a starting XI option.

Anyway, we are agreed on the other 12 players you suggested selling. How much do you think we can raise from them?

Lavanier, Cirkin, White, Clarke can all be back-up/squad players if we need. That is another 4 players that offer as much/little as Sissoko/Winks/Davies.
Sissoko and Winks are not good but we would not have reached the CL final if we'd replaced those two with unproven kids who might not even be playing professional footy in 5 years.

This would be a huge gamble. These players need to prove thesmelves before replacing any first team squad players.

Bale wages even subsidizes are still massive.

I don't care if we can get zero for them, moving them out is most important. I have no idea what we could get for any of them, based on what most posters have said here is that we would be lucky to get 1m for the group.

We made the CL final two years ago, things have massively changed since then.

Now Winks and Sissoko were major reasons we looked awful against City. They don't offer anything going forward. If neither played a minute for us this season we would not have been any worse off.
