Read that Juve is chasing Son and willing to pay upto 90M Euros.

Son has refused to sign a new contract..there is a possibility Levy will cash in, maybe 50M + Rabiot ?
Hope that's a joke

well a) The Son juventus thing is rubbish and also Son just probably doesn't want to discuss contract to the press.
b) Rabiot - no way. Publically insulted our club and he's someone who thinks he's better than he is. He's a bench warmer at Juventus.

I think he's going to be really good. There is a reason Bayern want him. Strong defensively, quick and pretty good going forward. Should have bought him last summer. £30m is overpriced but only by £5m or so. I hope we finally pull the trigger, we've been sniffing around for 3 years.
Apparently they are resigned to losing him.
Smith (?) said that he's going to be a top player "unfortunately, that won't be with us"

Think Norwich are a bit silly with their valuations.
Even amidst a pandemic they always seem to put out crazy valuations to deter other clubs

Aarons was alright in the Premier league but not worth £35m.
Crazy money. I don't rate him much better than KWP but right now there is a shortage of decent RBs and who knows how much he will fetch?

Yeah he'll be off somewhere in the summer and i hope its us. Don't want another James Maddison who we watched for years and didn't bother with. Aarons will be an England player in the not too distant future imo. We must have a pretty good relationship with Norwich so that may help us a bit.

Strong agree. Think his ability on the ball is very underrated, he's a a brilliant ball carrier and would offer us a lot. A lot of our problems stem from inability to play the ball around fluently in that Sissoko/Aurier/Dier/Toby quadrant, all slow and blocky in receiving the ball and doing anything with it.

Aarons carries, passes well, and his defensive work is pretty good, not perfect. Height an issue but at 21 I think if he kicks on a bit he could be a really top player.

Aarons at £35M is a gamble - though he does look good.

Would rather a guaranteed performer (older/ more expensive), or cheaper if a gamble (Seny Dieng QPR goalkeeper)

SSN reporting that Norwich have told Bayern it will cost £30 - £35m to sign Aarons.

Good value?

Last year Norwich reportedly valued Godfrey at 50 million before selling him for 25 (would have been nice to get him for that), so I would take those numbers listed with a big grain of salt.

I think he should be a target of ours. Young, HG with a lot of positive attributes. It would be nice if Doherty would have been having a better year so we would be a better back-up option if Aarons struggled but I would be more comfortable going into next season with Aarons over Doherty and Aurier.

The issue I have is that Aarons is in the championship.

I don't think many players in the championship would be valued at £35m especially a RB..
I've no issue with where the player comes from if I think he's good enough. Plus English tax. And he's played over 100 times (with a full PL season under his belt) at 21. Ollie Watkins cost Villa 28m + add ons he's likely to meet, he's 25. Benrahma (25) costing West Ham a 5m loan fee and 25m to make permanent. I think it's a very fair price at 30m given what players cost these days.

Yep. Matty Cash cost £16m, seemed a lot but now looks a bargain. Think Eze was £20m as well. Championship players aren't cheap anymore but we need some homegrown players and we need a right back so seems a bit of a no brainer imo.

He just moved, but he is young and reminds me a lot of Mason Mount in technique and work rate. Brenden Aaronson at RBS.

A young American that has really shot up the ranks nationally over the past couple of years. Tidy, gets involved, versatile.
