Was watching a video of De Bruyne's best assists today , just popped up on my recommended and that's exactly what we miss.

Someone who is able to play those through balls or crosses.
Kane can do it but he's the one meant to be on the end of them.

That's what we missed yesterday too (could've scored more imo)

Lo Celso/Lamela/Dele/Ndombele/Lucas none of them are it.

We need a real number 10 someone similar to KDB.
Should have lined up a good replacement before Eriksen left. Very difficult to find that kind of player.

Rodrigo De Paul. Buendia. Pedro Goncalves.

Not all direct replacements obviously but offer something we don't have much of.

Would need to sell one of Ndom, Gio, Dele for us to bring in a player like that this summer.

I am of the view that Ndombele, Lo Celso and Sessegnon are all really talented, still young players and the club would be wise to try and find a manager and setup to get the best out of them, rather than spend a shitload replacing them with guys who have done basically exactly what those guys did before arriving at Spurs.

De Paul is a perfect example. Nice player, but Lo Celso at Betis was better, and younger. And he's the world's least Mourinho-y player. Let's give him another chance.

Aarons is very good and I have watched him a lot - but hes a VERY attack minded RB. Im not sure if him and Reg together in the same team would work, they would both be bombing forward and leaving gaps both sides, unless we played with two holding players to drop in which we dont have (until Skipp returns, anyway). He's also very short (well, for the average footballer anyway) and frequently gets picked on at set pieces by oppo teams. The price being touted is nuts, plus I dont think NCFC will be entertaining any bids for their players until next season having just gone up.

Abraham is a really likeable player, even though he plays for them. If Kane were to go I'd make a big effort for Vlahovic, he's an unfinished product but think he'll be a top player.

I like Bergwijn and still think he'll be good tbh .. confident time will show just how bad a job Mourinho did. Eze would have struggled under him. Kind of in-between on Brandt, would be good squad player though.
Abraham is rubbish. Mid table PL

wills score goals but you will never play good football and challenge consistently with a player like that

Saint-Maximin is a baller. He’d be a great signing if the fee wouldn’t be astronomical.

I'm not convinced. His workrate off the ball is almost non-existent. I have watched the 3 most recently Newcastle games and he barely ever runs (unless he has the ball at his feet) and doesn't offer anything when the team doesn't have the ball.

Of course, when he does have the ball he has the ability to beat defenders and create chances but I am not sure his output is significant enough as players like Kane, Son would have to work harder to allow him to be our 'luxury' player.

The same criticism has been given of Bale; but clearly his output in the attacking 3rd is world class.

I think Adama Traore at Wolves looks good, but as Tim Sherwood remarked that his "footballing brain and teamwork skills are definitely up for debate" - which is maybe why he isn't getting the minutes at Wolves.

Aside from Rodon Levy seems to be afraid to buy players from the Football League. Even though Dele was one of our most amazing value signings of all time.

Grealish, Maddison, Eze, Watkins, we looked at all of them and let other clubs take them. Now they are worth double what they cost before, triple in the case of Grealish and Maddison. I hope that we will go back for Max Aarons but Levy will probably let some dodgy agent talk him into buying someone shit.
Levy is a chancer who is too stingy to setup a functioning scouting structure with an experienced, progressive DoF. He should be nowhere near transfer decisions and instead leave those to the professionals
