When I say that our collective scouting in the TFC transfer threads is streets ahead of Spurs' actual recruitment network I'm not even joking.
Sessegnon hasn't shown any indication he can play LB, and certainly not at a PL or top 4 level.
Why would we want to make a massive downgrade when we are already struggling for talent?

This was a slightly odd scenario. When he refused a 40m transfer to Newcastle he fell out of favour with the hierarchy of the club and was frozen out much of last season. Which seemed like a counter productive thing for the club to do, as they weren’t getting any football or financial benefit from doing it and he’s now not signed a new contract either.
He then started getting back into teams and squads this season and I think the last three months or so have probably been his best.
I’ve watched a couple of those games recently and he’s actually played pretty well, still not totally sold on him, especially at the ludicrous 40-50m quoted, but he is still only 22 and hasn’t played loads of football the last couple of years because of the issues, so I guess there’s still scope in him for improvement,
He’s a strong athletically built lad, technically ok, I just thought he lacked a bit of dynamism and tenacity. He seems to me to be one of those that does various things quite well, combined with being a big strong lad, but doesn’t really excel at the offensive or defensive side of the game. Not a fabulous 6 or 8. But he had the makings of a robust double pivot type maybe, which is what Lille play, and they aren’t the most expansive tactically.
Err.. with the money buy someone better?
For 30m we are not getting a better LB.

Here's what I came up with.
I classified the squad into 3 catergories
- Must sell
- Open to offers. Not really fussed.
- Must keep
I'll explain the reasons for certain ones which are a bit more controversial.
And btw in my opinion a lot of our new signings need more time , let's see how they do in an attacking system. (Signings made at the end of Poch era/Mourinho era)
