Looks like a Villa lineup
That's the way we're heading atm
Levy was very good at buying low and selling high during our rise up the table. But now that we have "gotten there" he seems to have forgotten how.Aren't they? Levy certainly used to be, but his thinking seems to have become very muddled. Not knowing when to cash in has cost us a fortune in recent years.
If Kane leaves we probably need three strikers. Maaaaaaybe one of them can be Troy Parrott but not from the reports I've heard. If Kane leaves. We need two strikers. One of them should be one of Vlahovic, Daka or Isak. The other should be a guy like Toney
Apart from Grealish I don’t think a single Villa player would get into that team.

Still too young.
Mate you want three decent strikers. We’ve barely had one last few seasonsStill too young.
I guess if both new options are of decent quality then Sonny makes your third, but the point is, we've left the cupboard shockingly bare there.
We're agreeing with each other.Mate you want three decent strikers. We’ve barely had one last few seasons
Maybe Villa was an exaggeration but that doesn't look like a top 6 team.Apart from Grealish I don’t think a single Villa player would get into that team.
Which proven top quality players do you think we should buy?Maybe Villa was an exaggeration but that doesn't look like a top 6 team.
We probably won't be for a while after Kane leaves regardless of what we do in the transfer market. But I'd like to think we can sign some proven top quality players and supplement them with promising youngsters rather than just buying kids who have had one good season in weaker leagues.
Grealish would be a statement signing that seems somewhat feasible (although not very) - can't think of too many more.
There's a part of me that both managerially and squad wise wants to just kinda hang out and keep our powder dry for a couple of weeks here.
Sure we can make these types of signings but they hardly get the blood flowing.Which proven top quality players do you think we should buy?
I know people dismiss the Championship, but Buendia's level has been an absolute joke, he is getting better every year. 15 goals and 16 assists is better stats than Grealish ever managed in the championship.
Vlahovic and Isak have done really well in Serie A and La Liga; both aged 21 and have carried their teams to an extent.
Bastoni has won the title at Inter and starts for Italy; while Torres starts for Spain and could win Europa League with Villarreal.
The only obvious weakness remains in midfield, where we have talented players who can't seem to play well together like Ndombele and Lo Celso.
Yeah. What's the alternative if we sell Kane? It's not like we can get Haaland or Sancho.Sure we can make these types of signings but they hardly get the blood flowing.
I suppose that's how it will have to be at the start of yet another new project. Take punts on some youngsters and hopefully have a competitive team in 3 years.
Sarri in as manager with Dybala joining him?Grealish would be a statement signing that seems somewhat feasible (although not very) - can't think of too many more.
It just seems like the squad needs so much work as things stand that we'd need £150m plus Kane staying to make a dent in it. If Kane goes we'll put that 150 towards replacing him and will be worse off and still have to do the rest of the rebuild anyway.
Dark times.
