Odds of this are quite unlikely because player swaps are complicated enough but how would people for about 120-130mil + Ake?
I don’t recall ever watching him play but wasn’t he a promising player? Left footed CB?

Still did enough to earn a big money move to utd, on our terms

And next time City, Utd, Chelsea decide they want your star player guess what? You bend over again. And again, and again... You always lose what you're building on the basis it suits others.

Kane going on strike and us finishing 16th? Come on, that's pure hyperbole. If Kane stays he'll do his job, as I say even if only to get his move next summer. He's not just going to disappear.

For Kane to go it must be on our terms. And if Grealish is a £100m player, then Kane is far more than that.

I'm not averse to selling, love Kane but selling him can rebuild the side - there can be an upside and ultimately the club is greater than any one player.

But imo it is essential to do business that suits us, not Kane, not City, not anyone. It's also essential we don't end up as a Dortmund like factory for making talent for other teams to poach at will.

If you want genuine ambition from the club, rolling over at the first sign of pressure isn't going to fulfill it.
I don't disagree with what you say, but the way for us to not roll over when another club comes calling for our players is to become a destination club for big players. But that's going to take a while longer. In the meantime, sometimes we'll dig our heels in and sometimes we'll bend over. In both cases we could still be able to get what's best for the club, albeit in a different way.

Going by signings confirmed by itk's so far we can have Romero paired with Romero starting and 4-5 Romeros on the bench as backup. Should be enough for the CB position!

This is gonna pan out the same as the Bale summer.
Not for sale. Sign one.
Not for sale. Sign another.
Not for sale. Sign another.
Not for sale. Sign another.
Not for sale. Sign another.
Sold.

Kind of agree , but he did not know Levy would oversee such a collapse and handle things so badly. Things change , I hope we keep him one more year

Levy had the power to turn this round by appointing Conte and giving him what he wanted. That would have made us look at least as competitive as we did when Kane signed that deal, which was off the back of our best league season in 60 years.

Instead we appoint a mid table yes man. Game over. We've signalled out intent that we have nothing. We're not ambitious. We don't want to be the best.

To me, that's arguably a breach of contract on our behalf. He signed it believing we were going to go onto bigger things.
We not only haven't gone on to bigger things, We've got significantly worse every year since.

Kane is unique and a good example of why homegrown players are a burden not a blessing.

He wants the PL record for goals which he can't do abroad.
Transfer fees have, or had, gone mental so his value is seemingly high.
If he was a foreign player we could surely palm him off abroad somewhere but he will only go to an English club.
Not only that but as if stands, only one club want him and he wants them.
What we actually need is Chelsea or United to start a bidding war.

Let's flip it round though. Some people on here have moaned that Atalanta aren't being fair by holding put for more money for Romero.
Some fans saying they should just let him go.
What's the difference?

I haven't moaned about Atalanta at all, aside from them seemingly pissing about a bit (which is more likely a product of the "reporting")

Romero is their player, they sell him on their terms or not at all - 100% fair.

It's frustrating it seems to be dragging but it's life.

If there's something to be said for home grown players it's that they're 100% profit 😉

We don't want to sell him, so his restricting options is his problem, not ours.

Very simple, pay up, or don't get him. We don't want to sell, and lose by bowing to this nonsense. Only way it works is if it works for us.

CE decided to protect himself and just go through the motions. If kane does the same it’s not worth having him on the field.

And in the process Eriksen only had Inter after him, and only because he represented value - not like Conte was desperate for him is it?

If the players smart he plays out of his skin to ensure the best still want him.

If he's not, it's his loss as much as ours - but one I'd rather take than what just giving the player up costs

I guarantee you, Levy does want to sell. He wants as much money as possible, not a disinterested player.
He'll no start sanctioning purchases and try to extract as much as he can out of City at the last minute.

We won't hear anything from anywhere other than "not for sale"

And we all need to fully understand this has happened because Kane has figured out that ENIC hold us back.

We all NEED to start the protesting ball rolling. It HAS to be visual and vocal every single match day.

Selling is not the same as bending over, I don't take issue with selling and agree it can help serve a greater purpose
