Peak Dele was playing in a team that was essentially a free role for him to get into the box and score goals as a second striker. Grealish has been carrying the Villa team on his own for a couple years now, and you only need to watch him on the ball to see the difference in what they both can produce with the ball at their feet.

Peak Dele > peak Grealish. And Dele is nearly a year younger. I'd back Dele to get back to good before I spent even £60M of fucking Grealish. Grealish is just Barkley Mk. II, he's gonna disappear at Citeh.

It does my head in that Dele is younger than Grealish, fair play that we’re describing Grealish as an up-and-comer and Dele as a has been when they’re in the same part of their careers.

But having said that, it’s not a question of form, Dele just isn’t the player he was anymore. His sense of the game has just abandoned him, and his profligacy with the ball (which he always had, it’s the other side of the coin to his creativity and risk taking) is just so destructive now.

Oh, I was definitely thinking we'd be going down the Vlahovic + Ings route if Kane were to go. I wonder if Ings moving to Villa is completely unrelated to Kane or whether he'd been told that Kane in fact wasn't going anywhere this summer (you never know, Levy may dig his heels in hard) so any move to us was off.

Daka was a real shame. I wonder if Paratici didn't fancy him or perhaps he felt Leicester was the better move for his career.
