I guess this is just one of these things where the club will be pencilling him in to start training with the squad, say, next week and just aren't in a rush to get him over here and announce it (especially with part of the deal apparently being to wait for Atalanta to tie up Demiral).

Irritating for us of course as outsiders though.

Letting Tanganga go and pushing Sanchez out the door suggests we have at least one more CB incoming.

You do wonder if the Kounde wheels can be greased...

I think letting Toby, Sanchez and Tanganga go and just bringing in Romero and someone like Milenkovic is a risk imo.

I think we might be targeting a higher calibre now. The plan could be Romero plus New Guy with Rodon 3rd choice and Dier 4th choice for this season.

Next season we sell Dier and Tanganga comes back ready to really compete alongside Rodon.

Jayden Bogle, Ilaix Moriba (who's refused to sign a new contract at Barca because he wants more money) and Danny Ings (yes, he just signed for Villa).
I would not mind both Bogle and Moriba at Spurs.

Link to Bogle could be our new 'Head of Emerging Talent who used to be head of Derby's Youth recruitment until a year ago.

Bogle looked a very good prospect, E u20 now 21, with 90 Championship appearances for Derby followed by 20 PL appearances for Sheffield United. Decent back up for Tomiyasu ?

Probably not expensive from Sheffield U

Those two seem to be completely left field names. I wonder if they're back ups (or back ups of back ups) from the way Paratici fishes in the transfer market.

Peak Dele was playing in a team that was essentially a free role for him to get into the box and score goals as a second striker. Grealish has been carrying the Villa team on his own for a couple years now, and you only need to watch him on the ball to see the difference in what they both can produce with the ball at their feet.
Yes. Grealish does so much more with the ball at his feet. Such as take nearly a full game longer to produce an assist!

Funny how when someone brings up a metric like xG or something everyone decries them as a witch and says stats don't matter. Then, somehow, when you bring up goals...you know, the whole point of the game, then it suddenly becomes about some vague unquantifiable subjective opinion about what someone "does with the ball at their feet".

Dele has struggled recently. Largely because Mourinho is a cunt. But, even still, in the last season before Mourinho banished him he produced similar results to Grealish in half the fucking minutes.

The Grealish hype-train is going a bit off the rails. He's much closer to the £40M we wouldn't pay 2 years ago than £100M. And even not in form Dele in 19/20 was a better player. Much less Dele on his day.

Moriba is only 18, so I don't think he'll be seen as a start right away should he join Spurs. But both Chelski & Man City have been linked with Moriba as well, and he seems to aim for a big pay day should he leave Barca. He's training with Barca's B team now, because of the contract dispute...
Bogle is a player I've seen mentioned by several Spurs fans over the past 2 seasons. A cheaper alternative than Max Aarons.

Grealish is special.
For midfielders, it’s not all about stats.

Prime Dele played in a different position to Grealish at Villa; he was further up the pitch.
