Have you looked into this youngster Kvaratskhelia? I'm hearing he's a dribbling demon, the next Adama. But aged 20 hopefully he can develop an end product too in future.

Not really.

Other than reading a few things about him no idea. If he comes cheap then sure take a punt on him but it seems like a LW/AM so not sure he is the perfect fit for us.

It's a shame Sofascore don't give the precise timings of when Adama's 4 key passes were, so we could analyse more closely.

Also have you considered that his qualities, for example drawing in 2 defenders but beating them anyway, mean that he can also get the assist for the assist? Leaves other attackers with much more room.

Regardless, I think this debate is largely academic, as Wolves' price for Adama is likely to be too high unless we sell Kane. And if we do sell Kane, I don't want Adama in.

I agree.

If we didn't have Bergwijn and Moura already I might be more willing to bring him in but I think we need a RW with goal scoring ability and Traore offers a lot of what Moura and Bergwijn do in terms of running with the ball but no quality passing or finishing.

A massively upgraded Lucas though. I mean we saw that today itself.

He can play RW too.

The fact it is only one season could also point out that he got lucky that others converted chances from his passes more than he was really good at creating.

6ish seasons in England and one good seasons of assists is concerning. Although I think assists are not the be all and end of of determining how effective a player can be in creating chances.
What? When he came over to Villa as a 19 year old he barely played.

Then moved full time to Middlesbrough in the Championship for the 2017/18 and had a 10 assist season, which was 7th in the league. Didn’t play a ton his first season at Wolves in 2018/2019, had a good season in 2019/2020 as discussed and the last season was a mess for Wolves.

I think I counted this season by accident.

He had 29 games in his first season at Wolves so far from not much.

Let's not mix two different things.
We were lucky today that the pinballs didn't drop kindly for a Wolves player. It was total chaos around our penalty area on many occasions.
As for Kane and Son, their finishing is so good, that his dribbling and key passes would lead to more goals, without the need for lucky pinballs.

£40m for pinballs and lucky bounces?

Nah, not for me, ta.

Because Igula said that his passing was not good, so the fact he had a high pass completion rate is fair rebuttal to that.

That doesn't explain why you said as much to me for no valid reason though.....

Anyway, like I said.... I'm done..... Your boner for him from today is still affecting your thinking (yes, my turn to be patronising now!)......

Have a little read about him last week:

"Wolves boss Lage says Traore needs to improve finishing"

Also:

"In Traore, they do have someone with unparalleled pace and bags of tricks but he lacked composure or the ability to make the right decision when it mattered.

He should have given his side the lead with the chance he put past the post and had countless other opportunities, including an effort he fired straight at Kasper Schmeichel after outmuscling Vestergaard."

Then get back to me after the United game next week if you still have the horn.

Okay, why did you not say it was regarding Kane and a new bid from City?

First of all, I'm not sure City bidding £100+£25 million add ons constitutes a big week. It was to be expected, and if not anything below expectations of what one would have thought City would offer.
Secondly, 'big week' indicates good news for Spurs fans. A new Kane bid is moderately bad news, if it was news at all.
Because he has no idea and is making it up as he goes along perhaps ?

Do not spend the next 8 days hoping Ronaldo is coming. He is running out of options for a big wage due to his age. His contract buyout isn't a lot but no team will pay his wages, he's just a luxury at this stage you can't build a team around him. If Kane went and you need a striker he will do a job better than most, but just not going to happen

Only light is that Bale came last year, so it shows we have room to swallow a large wage for a year if we see benefit in it. We could do the deal financially but it's just not happening. I'll be as pleasantly surprised as everyone if it did.

To the real transfers, we need a striker, a right winger, a CM (probably 2 if we want to keep consistency when we rotate with our formation) and a RB. If Kane goes, we will still only get one striker and Son will play backup/rotate with the new player.

Don't be surprised if the striker we sign is capable of playing right wing also, one man will be used to plug two holes is my thinking.
