Some strange memories of Llorente on here today. The guy was a smiling big lump of wood who could not believe we were paying his wages

Apparently he's what we're missing these days
He was hot though........

come on you spurs fernando llorente GIF by Tottenham Hotspur

I am so unsure on this topic. Kane hardly feels like a Klopp player. Not saying that he wouldn't like him. But you're so used to how Klopp's teams play that I struggle to see Kane fit in stylistically.

Not only the football profile, but the financial profile (age/cost etc) doesn’t fit their recruitment model either.

Don’t see Liverpool as a destination for Kane at all.

Utd or PSG maybe?

I don’t really see the options for Kane this summer. City opportunity has gone and they will sign someone younger this summer. Chelsea out of the question. United can afford him but they are no more likely to win a trophy than we are. I suppose Liverpool might make a cheeky bid?

He won’t leave the PL because of all the records he wants to break so I think he should think carefully if it’s a choice between joining United or staying here with Conte.
Unless Conte goes there too?

:troll:

Jorge is looking for a payday. Granted, if Kane is looking to leave again it is good that there is some form of contingency being planned. He does owe us after Nuno and Gedson.

Mendes is always looking for a payday - as greed can never get enough.
But I hope Levy is man enough this time to sort out the most pressing issues immediately after the season-ending - namely whether Conte and Kane will be staying or not.

i thought we were in the race before he signed for leicester and was disappointed we didn't get him, especially as i think he had a pretty good start there. Against us though he was useless

We got offered him on loan before Leicester eventually took the offer up......

.....Poch was still stewing about being knocked back by De Jong.

I mentioned Gabriel Slonina before - hoping Spurs would go after him.
Chelski got 2 quality goalkeepers and yet they think ahead... while Spurs have an aging Lloris (ok, he'll turn 36 next season so he'll still be in top shape) who's got 1 year left of his contract (ok, he extend it...)
£5m is not that much for a prospect like Slonina.

Chelsea's '£5m deal for Chicago Fire goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina COLLAPSES due to government-enforced transfer ban'... as the Blues continue to feel the heat from sanctions on Roman Abramovich

  • Chelsea have reportedly been in talks to sign Chicago Fire's Gabriel Slonina
  • A fee of around £5million was set to be agreed for the 17-year-old goalkeeper
  • However, the deal has collapsed due to sanctions placed on Roman Abramovich
  • Chelsea are currently unable to buy or sell players or offer contract extensions

Ed Woodward 'told Tottenham chief Daniel Levy that Manchester United wanted to sign Harry Kane LAST SUMMER... but admitted a deal would have to wait until this year' after £73m spend on Jadon Sancho

  • Man United wanted to sign Harry Kane last summer but couldn't afford him
  • The club had just paid £73million for Jadon Sancho so couldn't fork out for Kane
  • United now have their sights set on signing 'primary target' Kane this summer
  • Woodward has reportedly approached Daniel Levy at Tottenham about Kane
  • Manchester United view Kane as a replacement for outgoing Edinson Cavani

You mean the dirty, cheaty, financially doped, recruitment-rule breaking chav cunts?

.......Let's not prop their name up in a positive fashion any more please.

100 million + Jota and Liverpool can have Kane. He will score a bucket load of goals there given the service he will receive from the midfield and wings and easily break Shearer's record. That is the most acceptable deal for me.

Would absolutely hate to see Kane wear a ManU jersey.

if they are dumb enough to offer 100m for a 29 year old I would go ahead and let him join them tbh.

I did not need to mention that part about being financially doped.
My point was that Spurs should be after players like Slonina and be able to "sell" the club to young talents (unless, of course, all they want is instant huge salaries).

Perhaps..... But the Ukraine stuff really ought to serve as a water-shed and put an end to the "look what Chelsea are doing.... We should be more like them" posts.

Had a mate called Bernie Slonina at school.
Didn't see him for 25 years then bumped into him in a pub. Then amazingly three days later I saw him again. I was at Beckenham golf course with a driver in my hand about to tee off and he walked past on the way to the club house cafe.
"What are you doing here?" he asked.:p

The weirdest rumour yet.

Granted, considering how volatile Conte can be I don't fault them for keeping tabs on some possible successors. And Genesio is class so I would be very happy with him. His Lyon side was a big thorn in PSG's side, and his Rennes side is a great watch.

That being said, hopefully Conte at least sees out his contract before we have to look for a replacement.

It's even weirder when you consider that Lange has Wolves playing thrilling football in the actual EPL. Listen everyone who's conscious knows who our next coach is if Conte walks.
