nicest gooner around.
Many (perhaps 10-15) years ago I made a complaint about him to the BBC, and never really got anywhere. Whilst commentating on a game, two black players had clashed heads, and Wright said "they won't be hurt though because they're tough because they're brothers". The two men were not related. The clear implication was that a). he was using the term 'brothers' to mean black players, and b). black players are necessarily stronger than non-black players, a very old racist stereotype.

Initially the BCC tried to say that he must have thought the players were genuinely related, which I obviously rebuffed and ridiculed. Then they said that he hadn't meant any offence in the (totally racist) thing that he'd said. At that point I got bored with the topic, and said I'd let the matter go if he a). apologised on his next TV performance, and b). sent me a Spurs shirt on which he had written 'Ian Wright is a racist', signed by him. I never heard back from them. :(

My favourite gooner was Claude, RIP to him. I’ll never forget him saying something along the lines of ‘if we’re being honest we got lucky and they were better than us this season’ after we bottled it to Newcastle and they beat Villa on the last day. Obviously they all booed him for that but I always felt like Claude wasn’t one of those weirdo Woolwich fans who was completely delusional about us.

Given that he has refused to join the pre season, he is forcing his way out. They will have to sell him

Reports in Manchester than he was upset his wages were reduced by 25% because of the failure to qualify for champions league. I hope he goes to the chavs as I reckon it will force Tuchel to walk out. He didn’t fancy Lukaku, he won’t want Ronaldo. It just looks like a new owner purchase not a coaching one.

It's fairly obvious that Forest have given up on Spence. At least they're looking for other RBs than him.

Nottingham Forest make improved £16m bid for Neco Williams after Liverpool rejected their opening offer following the Wales defender's impressive loan spell at Fulham

  • Nottingham Forest have made an improved £16million bid for Neco Williams
  • Williams has been a target for Forest since the beginning of the transfer window
  • However, Liverpool turned down Nottingham Forest's opening offer for Williams
  • The Premier League giants were holding out for the £15m price tag they attached

16 mill???? This will just make Boro even more determined to get 15-20 mill for Spence.

They aren’t linked. We don’t want him, but he would definitely want us.

Think United only paid about £15m didn't they? He hasn't got any transfer value really as goes for nothing next season, has astronomical wages and is old.
He was shit last season, will be even more of a lazy statue next season. Will probably get 15 PL goals but will almost certainly ensure they don’t get too 4 as he disrupts their style of play

All gone a bit quiet but a few bits

Spence looked most likely, but not any more.

Langlet not sure why that's being held up all but signed off, but it is being delayed.

Bremer nothing's changed, his partner doesn't want to move to UK, he'd prefer Italy.

All sounds negative and yet I'm being told we still think more in before Korea.

Bastoni as I posted 2 weeks ago deal was not dead, and also interest in Di Lorenzo from Napoli.

So Italy may well still hold the key to what's going on, though with how quiet things have gone I wouldn't be surprised to see a rabbit from the hat situation.

Trix, Nice to see you are covering all angles you fraud bastard. Lenglet doesn’t sign, you can then point out the delay being the reason. Spence doesn’t sign, you got a get me out option on that too. How do they keep getting away with it on Spurs community? Not one of them called any of Richarlison, Perisic or Bissouma

Trix in shit-talking, attention seeking bollocks. Colour me surprised.

He shouldn't have signed a contract with that clause in it then......

Tough shit.

Anyway, here's hoping he's just as problematic for the chavs

Yeah would be the new owner making the decision to buy him not Tuchel

They don’t love you..... It's over...... Time to move on and let your broken heart heal.

Saliba doesn't count as HG for Woolwich and never will. Sarr will never count as HG for us.

They have to have be registered to play at the club for 3 years before the end of the season in which they turn 21. If they are on loan, they aren't registered to play for the parent club, they are registered to play for the club they are on loan at.
From The Athlietic.

If true surely Sarr would eventually count as HG.

William Saliba is another interesting example. The France international, born in Paris, counts as a homegrown player because he has been on Woolwich’s books and listed in their Premier League squad for three seasons before his 21st birthday.
